In August of 2006, mmosite.com did an interview with Dave Perry about what 2Moons was going to be. http://news.mmosite.com/interview/content/2006-08-21/20060821080443737,1.shtml Here's the interview: The upcoming massively multiplayer game, 2Moons, is going to be totally free and will be purely ad supported. The M-rated role playing game with the tagline, ¡°No mercy for the weak, no pity for the dying, no tears for the slain,¡± has got the 15-to-30 demographic right in its cross hair, and could attract some serious advertising dollars. MMOsite.com: In overview, how would you describe the gameworld? Are there different types of areas? How much is instanced space? Heheh, so how wrong was he, in your opinions? What was pure hype, and what was actually delivered? |

I have not really gotten to far into the game yet, and I have seen no advertising whatsoever. I'm wondering, do I have to turn that on? I would have figured it would have been on already, but I actually really like the game, so in my perspective he delivered basically just what he said. The hype might have been a bit big for some, but like I said before I really like the game, so I think the hype was true to me. "I hope that when the world comes to an end I can breath a sigh of relief, because there will be so much to look forward to." |

Everything sounds about right so far except the part where he said you can get items that make your character look unique. I am level 16 but so far I dont see this. Everybody looks the same and thats the thing that I dont like the most about the game. I love the fighting and graphics of the game but I hope that the increase the Draw Distance. |

2 Moons is definitely not what David Perry hyped it up to be. I guess it was too much to expect a f2p MMO to live up to the hype and expectations that people set for it. In that interview, David Perry said they will change the story, improve camera angles, etc. Well there is still basically no story and the camera angles still suck. Also WASD movement is horribly implemented so you can say it's basically non existant. Also, I do not see how this is a game for people over 18. Mobs splashing red dots on the ground to represent blood is sad. NPCs swear way too much and out of place most of the time. Some swearing from NPCs can add to the atmosphere but when it's everywhere and from every NPC it just looks like the developers tried too hard. If anything this game attracts more annoying 12 year olds then any other. Theres not much in this game to do but grind levels. But that wouldn't be so bad if there was something to break up the grind, ie. quests, pvp with a purpose, crafting, some kind of non-combat activity, anything. Right now, in open beta, the only pvp I see is the ocasional duels, which suck at low levels, and higher levels going around ganking people several levels below them. I do not see how they changed much if anything from Dekaron aside from translations. But of course some of those things might be improved upon before the game goes commercial though I highly doubt it. |

The WASD controls are not that bad, you just have to get used to them, but there definitly there. You said it would be nice to have things such as quests, well there are quests, and there are a good bit of them. There also is a non combat skill which is fishing, and in my opinion it is just what you need after grinding away at lots of monsters. I also hear that there are arenas for pvp later on, but I cannot confirm that at this point because I am only level 14. The duels are just there to have a bit of fun. sure the quests are there in the first 10-20 levels, but as you progress up there are fewer and fewer quests. And what makes it even worse is that these quests are not even worthwhile as the exp gained from them is minimal and could be gotten faster just grinding.

The swearing and such is just sad. They curse at ridiculous times, there's frequent mispellings, and the dialogue often sounds like something I would have heard on the playground in 6th grade. It's gratuitous and stupid. |

Personal opinion: I was totally hyped up when I read about what he was going to make but it ended up in disappointment. As far as i felt, it is still Dekaron ignorin the languages/writings.

Just like other free Asian MMO. Take your carbon copy avatar out and start grinding. The only mature part is the fact that NPC's go overboard with cussing and the mobs you kill usually end up in a pile of pieces. |

Yes, they do have some mispellings, and they do curse a bit. Though....this IS still beta. The game isn't even out yet. Of course they have mispellings and it doesn't sound right. They just translated it from Korean. It will all hopefully be fixed when it's fully released.
