like really... i'm not saying that your opinion as a gamer isn't valid. but i'm just pissed at the number of times i've seen people posting "i hate this game, it's korean" without even PLAYING it. first off, the game isn't THAT bad. second off, korean people don't make as many crap games as you think. you're not not open-minded enough to actually go out and look at some of the korean games out there.

Ive played it more than most.(2 40+ characters in closed and open beta)  And its a terrible game. The reason people rag on Korean MMO's is because they seem to focus on a different play style that most western players despise. Korean MMOs are all about the powergaming grind intensive playstyle. (maybe not all but a good portion of the ones Ive played have.) And dont start in with racism its tacky.

i tested it also, was not all that impressed with it altho it was free at the time and a break away from the MMO's i do pay to play.

take it back to the boards, spend more time developing it and try again..

It has:

1. not so amazing graphics
2. 4 different toons to choose from
3. controls were a bit shyt tbh and not fluid enough
4. quests were a bit sucky, which made the grind a bit dull but i dont mind a good grind (my personal best had to be 13hrs47minutes on lineageII in catacomb on my bladedancer, my warsmith there too to carry supplies)
5. drops are nice to get but this was just a bit too much, found myself running to tavern or bank to sell or trade too often as overweight
6. and a few more

altho the game does have some nice features to it so not slating it fully, i made a mystic warrior, played it for 3 or 4 days i forget, but reached 4Dan 3Kyu and had good +++ armor, weapons, flying lion mount(awesome) and about 5 million'ish in game currency

maybe i would have played for longer but the open beta ended the day after my 3rd or 4th day, and i thought "Nah, not for me!" but a highly polished version with more variety in it may wet my appetite again - who knows!

what's wrong with people and free game? u take a look at it and " ahh, it's free then it must be bad" before u even play it. or saying the game is bad after 10 min of play time. and also is that my imagination or i think someone who keep putting bad post about free game is some how working for some paying game company. trying to attack free games so people wil pay for their game?

i think this game is great, much better than most of the paying mmrpg. the graphic is just great, nothing else can be said about it. also...

1. below lv 10, there are many quest availably for players. that reward u with weapons and pots that will help u later on and keep u entertained for hours. there are also 3 types of weapon per char that allows u to test and choose the one u like most. and also differn types of skills u can choose for ur char.

2. at lv 10, when player is more used to the game. u can now get a pet and enjoy the amazing pet system. and as ur lv getting higher, u can get new quest, new pets or test out the pvp system.

3. if u like to play solo u can take ur pet and lv by urself or u can join a team and just crash through the monsters. ( what i like most)

4. at lv 50( i think) u can now use the mining function, which can still keep u entertained for a long time...... and so on

ps. everyone is different so we all have different tastes in food or different types of online games. it might be true that u don't like this game for whatever reason. but plz stop saying that this is the worst game ever just because u don't like it. there are many other people who love this game, myself included.

also if u think this game is the worst game ever then why not give us an example of the "best game ever"

take time to read what i said and no way did i say worst game ever. i did invest many hours into playing it and yes it did for me have a few fun aspects but it wasnt enough to keep me there!

if u did your research into games, you would see that there are many out there that are better than Hero Online, yet many worse too and for myself at least i would say Hero was mediocre, good nonetheless

I'l agree that the pet system rock!!

I have played the game the hole time, it was like that there was no other game in the hole world.And i liked the game from the begining.Hero is just for funn!

P.S: Hero is not the Worst Game Ever!!!

The game is not bad it's just pretty damn difficult. It might be bad for others but I like it this way. You really have to work hard to get to a higher level and at those levels you are really a strong warrior.

The fights look cool and the quests are also great. I love the music of the love quests for example.

I personally believe it's pretty stupid when people say "...Oh, well you haven't even reached level ## have you?  Then you can't talk!"

Games ought to be fun FROM THE BEGINNING ALL THE WAY TO END GAME.  The player honestly shouldn't have to 'work' or put mindnumbing effort into a game so that they can EVENTUALLY hope to have fun with it.  That's a flawed game system.

People generally play games to have fun and to be entertained, not to spend trivial hours working and not enjoying their time.  There are plenty of other MMOs in existence that give you rewarding and immersive gameplay experiences right from the first five minutes to years from starting out with each day providing something new and fun.

After playing this game for several weeks, for some bizarre reason hoping I will eventually have fun with it, I've come to the conclusion that I've just wasted a part of my life that I'll never get back.  GG Korean MMOs.

Sstaz, having friends in an MMO, especially those that you know in real life can EASILY make or break the gaming experience for yourself.  And in that regard, I completely agree with you.  Since I personally fly through korean MMO beta tests and free trials at a rate of about once a week, I don't really have time to socialize in any of the games I try.  I mainly play new titles "hardcore" for about the first week to see how far I can get and to get an idea of the overall gameplay system and how the general mechanics work.

Sopon, check my earlier post on page #2 for games I found to be extremely rewarding and entertaining. (It may be on a different page depending on your settings)

Search for this line, "It is impossible to accomdate the needs and desires of every single individual in the gaming market for an MMO"... Yeah I spelled accommodate wrong.
