Anyone starting this game now will have an EXTREMELY tough time as it's a PvPvE game and you will get ganked while you are trying to level your first toons. A lot.

The new  PvP weapons for the 50's are overpowered and there are already tons of twinks running around at lower levels rifting and making life Hell. If you are looking for PvP points to get the good gear, the vast majority of new players will have a hard road with their average gear.

Their best bet to gain XP for PvP items is to.. ironically, do PvE stuff in dungeons.

If they chose the side that is dominated already, they won't have any dungeons to grind that AP. Most asmos (unless you are on Vaizel) are screwed so bad it's not funny. Only twink asmos on many servers are able to get enough AP to compete and keep up gear wise.

The gaps in this game between haves and have nots are already too far to overcome for too many and this expansion will do nothing but make it bigger imo.

I enjoyed my time in AIon when I first played, and if they could just fix the host of gleaming issues with the game then I would actually consider returning to try it out again. However, they seem to be constantly packing new content ontop of what was already broken without ever actually fixing the post level 30 content, leaving players in the same rut they have been in.

Its like, you really really want this game to be as good as it can be, oh man, like really11 But then it ends there, I want to go back and see this area, but it ends there. maybe, I guess.

it still looks beautiful to me, but iw ont play it again, the gameplay was dissapointing, to much grind....(oh, and celee222...what is wrong with manga? i think manga is pretty...>.>)

Gonna pass thanks. I played this game for 4 months and i maxed out my gears in 3 months and 1 month of nothing to do its just 1 shiit game ever never gonna go back to it....

celee2222, clearly Aion is not your cup of tea so why bother even reading about it let alone leave such a comment. It's never going to change to become something you like if you don't like Korean mmos, or non-open worlds. Liberate yourself and stop reading about it or commenting on it.

This is a game I seriously want to bash as it promised one thing and delivered something quite different.

But there are players who absolutely love this game and get a kick out of it's gameplay mechanics....

I don't personally know any of those folks, but I am certain they exist.

With all the new cool games coming out - I doubt I will ever play Aion again - Aion missed the boat when they had their chance....

I see people are comment about this 2.0 patch without reading much into it. As one said that they didn't focus to fix post lvl 30 I must say that he's wrong. Just , read the patch notes, ask people who already play this on PTS and so on. They will change alot with 2.0 , which will include 3 new instances for 1 player, and other 5 or 6 instances, if I remember right ( one with 12 man ) and many other quests and such. But let's not forget the "abyss ground" ( Balaurea Area ). So my advice is to , read the patch notes, watch videos on youtube, and so on.

And unfortunatly as you state clearly Korean MMOs are just not my cup of tea. I simply dont want to see Street Fighter style fly text and Voices when the characters do specials.

Its like playing an arcade machine lol

Anyway as i said, were all entitled to give our opinion on things.

If you compare every game to WoW, you will never play another MMO ever again.  Really, the grind isn't any worse then EQ2, it's not as bad as the grind to Jedi pre-cu in SWG and the PvP is more fun than most games.

korean mmos all suck.

i played this game for a time  it was just no fun any more could not finde people to play with cuz every body wonted this or that and could not keep up with guild mates   so i played solo alot  then i stoped playing    yes it was a pretty game  enjoyed it   i'll wait for guild wars2   november folks : )
