    NCWest Executive Producer Lance Stites addressed the Aion community in a recently released State of the Game letter. The topic of discussion? Horrible queue times! The problem isn't a lack of servers, Aion has plenty. The problem is that many players are attempting to pile onto the more popular servers (anyone who played WAR at launch should find this problem all too familiar) and so queue times are still a stand out issue.

  • Newbies Silenced to Combat Gold Spammers

    A recent patch to Aion implemented a crude but temporary fix to address the rampant gold spam taking place in Aion: The Tower of Eternity. The patch disallows characters under level five from sending whispers, similar to general chat which also maintains this restriction.

    The US server list has expanded with the addition of [West]Fregion, which is now live and accepting players! This isn't the end for new servers, either, as the addition of a new European and East Coast server are forthcoming. No further details on the additional two servers are currently available, however.

  • Grinding the Calories Away

    The guys over at hooked up a treadmill and some Wii remotes to Aion in an effort to grind the calories away while playing the game. The two Wii remotes are hooked up to allow for control of flight in game through manual flapping of the arms, while the treadmill, of course, controls regular movement. The contraption is pretty crazy, the video is even crazier. Check it out!
