NCsoft and DC Partner for Comic Book

Similar to the partnership between SOE and DC Comics' WildStorm for their Free Realms comic book, Aion will also be receiving the comic book treatment. The DC Comics WildStorm team will be creating an Aion comic book that will be available exclusively at the upcoming Penny Arcade Expo or with purchase at GameStop.

Open Beta Client Available for Download!

The Open Beta for Aion won't begin until September 6th, but that doesn't mean you can't be prepared. As such, NCsoft have made the open beta client available in advance so you can be all ready to go once the big day comes!

Open Beta, Pre-Select, Headstart Dates

The Open Beta, Pre-select, and Head start program dates have been announced today by NCsoft. Open Beta will commence on September 6th, and run through to September 13th, with a level cap of 30. The Pre-select program, which allows pre-order customers to select their character name and server in advance, will begin on September 18th, with the headstart program beginning two days later on the 20th.

Goes Gold!

Aion: The Tower of Eternity has officially gone gold, according to an announcement made by NCsoft today. For those who don't know, a game going gold means it is ready to have the game discs duplicated and shipped to retailers. Basically, it's "done". Now we play the waiting game, as you'll have to wait until September 22nd, 2009 to play the full live version.
