Today, NCsoft patched in the Solorius Festival, this year's Aion holiday event.
During the Solorius Festival, which runs until January 6th, 2010, both the Elysean capital of Sanctum and the Asmodian capital of Pandaemonium will be lit up with festive decorations and holiday music will be piped throughout the city. Players can also look forward to Solorius Shugo merchants who will deal in festival wares, as well as bakers who will sell stat-buffing pastries and beverages.
Also part of today's patch is the long-awaited ability for Spiritmaster pets to take flight with their masters, and news of another massive wave of bans for the naughty botters and RMT participants in Aion.
Recently, NCsoft also announced a trio of double XP weekends for Aion, which will begin this weekend. The double XP will apply to characters between levels 1-35, and it is NCsoft's intention to continue with double XP weekends once or twice a month until they address the issue with the game's XP curve with a more permanent solution in a proper major update slated for sometime next year.
