  • Behind Enemy Lines Testing Coming Soon

    NCSoft devs have announced that the Behind Enemy Lines rifting event will be arriving on Aion servers beginning April 13th. Devs have plans to activate the event every other week in a stated goal to bring players more frequent opportunities to enjoy 'all of the content Aion has to offer'.

  • Reactivation Campaign Kicks Off

    The Aion team has announced that a new Aion reactivation campaign will kick off on Thursday, March 24th and continue for a week. The week will allow players to check out recent updates as well as a rifting event called "For War and Glory". In addition to the reactivation event, devs have announced forthcoming changes in v2.5 "Empyrean Calling".

  • Patch v2.1 Part 2 Released

    NCSoft has announced that part 2 of the Aion v2.1 update has been released. The latest patch brings a boost to experience, drops and over three hundred new crafting designs into the game. Additionally, the patch features higher drop rates for item designs and gathering materials.

  • Version 2.5 Overview

    Aion players in North America and Europe have been playing Aion v2.1 for awhile and will see the second half of the update arrive in early 2011. Korean Aion players, however, are taking on the 2.5 update that will bring significant changes to the game. MMORPG.com Community Manager Michael Bitton had the opportunity to sit down with Associate Producer Sean Neil to talk about what 2.5 will bring to the table.   • Rifting Changes

    When Aion: Assault on Balaurea launched, many players expressed dissatisfaction with 'rifting' PvP. NCSoft and Aion devs have spent a lot of time working with players via surveys and forum topics to determine how to make changes to make rifting more equitable. Devs have implemented several significant changes that will be implemented for the next month with players providing feedback.

  • Reactivation Campaign Coming Soon

    Beginning on December 3rd and running through December 13th, NCSoft and Aion developers are beginning a reactivation campaign for players who have not played in awhile and whose accounts are in good standing. The campaign will allow former Aion-ites to check out the game free for ten days, earn double XP and 99% off of Soul Healing on the 11th and 12th.

  • New Siege Times Laid Out

    NCSoft and the Aion team have put a new siege schedule up on the official Aion Flickr account so that players can more effectively plan their involvement in Fortress Sieges. The times are listed in a multiplicity of timezones for ease in planning.

  • Assault on Balaurea & 2.1 Interview

    MMORPG.com's Bill Murphy recently had the opportunity to sit down with NCSoft Associate Producer, Sean Neil to talk about the 'westernization' efforts being brought into Aion with the arrival of the Assault on Balaurea 2.1 patch.   • 2.1 Patch Notes & Increased Drop Rates

    NCSoft and the Aion development team have updated the Aion powerwiki with new information about the 2.1 patch scheduled to go live on the public test server today and live on all servers on November 18th. Included in the update are the full patch notes and an interesting comparison of drop rates between patch 2.0 and 2.1.

  • Trick or Treat with NCSoft

    All NCSoft titles will be sporting events to celebrate Halloween. Guild Wars, Aion and City of Heroes will have special events, quests and rewards for players to participate in from now through each game's specified end date. Zombies, pumpkins, thrills and chills will greet players on log in so be sure to head into your favorite game to participate.

  • Go Mobile With Aion Exchange

    As part of NCSoft's aggressive new plan to take its stable of games cross-platform and to keep players connected to the MMOs they love, a new app has been released for Aion players. Called Aion Exchange, the app give players the chance to stay connected to the game by letting them view characters, track auctions, search for items and to create a wish list.
