Thanks for the advice, I did that and to tell the truth I didn' really get MikeB. He didn't seem to see any problems with people making up lies about others, all he said was that I shouldn't call a liar a liar because that wouldn't add anything to the conversation while being incendiary and I should refute with the facts (which I did).

Since I am totally turned off by the bizzare censorship on mmorpg.com that made their staff delete links to posting to the official retail forum I guess my best choice is to move on. Hope to see you guys in places where you are allowed to discuss all aspects of a game and where you are allowed to name things as what they are.

Can you plz show some real proves of this?

Like some videos or pictures.

Thanks.

I need no posts to believe it...i have seen it with my very eyes. My last "flight" in this game was back in 2010, and if those hacks are still allowed to exist...well...its not good...not good at all.

A accusation without proves is a false accusation.

I dont know if is true or not, but the OP post is wrong just for it is. Its wrong posting thinks like this without a prove, and normaly a personal prove, not random youtube movies.

the thing is Aion with bots and hacks is still more fun than SWTOR which is lifeless.

Mind what people do, not only what they say, for deeds will betray a lie.

I think his motives are pretty clear. People are discussing the game so he feels the need to trash it and kill the excitement some people are feeling. Hacks or not it is still an extremely entertaining game. I played for a year and I have never witnessed any hacks. Although I have not played in a a couple months.

It is just like SWToR discussions, there is a dedicated community that enjoys the game and people that can't find a game of there own are jealous and decide to trash anything and everything about said title. Play it for what it is, and what you enjoy about it. You are more likely to talk yourself out of enjoying it if you listen to people like this.

"People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool."

I played Aion in March of 2011 and there were almost no bots, exploiters, etc. I can't imagine they let them rise again. I played for 6 months from launch and it was god awful how many there were... I was pleasantly surprised at how few there were when I came back. We will see how it is when its F2P, but I believe they have cracked down a ton.

Just my personal experience though...

That doesnt quell down the numerous "totally innocent victim of arbitrary unfair ban" sobstories or "butthurt ragemode" remarks by player banned for cheating. Once they get banned and lose out all of their investment into the gameclient and sub they get mad and want to let some steam off. Infact banning them creates most of these sort of "complaints" in first place.

Usually this results into delusional stories to backstab the guys who banned them (the gamepublisher) framing them to push away the fault of their own wrongdoings whether its getting pished or catched for cheating or buying Kinah. It goes from sneering over the GMs banning the as "innocent" portrait cheater, to fear of legit/interested user, over suddenly hating everthing about the game, down to convince others to do the same they did and get banned (and thus damaging the game) aka promoting the "ease" and "prominence" of cheating, including calling some modification of the standardsettings of the CryEngine existing in any CryEngine game, to modify some visuals which barely have any benefit to the player (like turning the gammasetting of you screen up), leave alone create an noticable advantage at all, even when they actually dont work anymore either, as "hacks that have never been fixed" just to lengthen some desperately googled-together list of hacks, with some fancy rephased titles adding some "-hack" at the end from the usual naming to make them sound like horrible hacks not just mods to the client for some minor display changes... oh wait.

I frequently see guys regularly bashing this game even after years of not/never playing it (just because despite their hopes it still runs fine, no other reason they need) even on fanforums, even spreading lies and made up fake news about it (latest one I read was a lie was Aion losing several hundredthousands of player in Korea or losing its spot as the No.1 online game in Korea it evidently held since launch till today, which are plain baseless, made up and all statistics prove otherwise, a lie just created by some rabid haters who want to make player especially those on the fence insecure, this started even at launch with fake stories about 1.5 to be the last major contentpatch ever "officially" because NC would work on Blade n Soul instead) . A sudden outburst of someone who got banned or doesnt want to admit he failed for some pishing or RMT service tricks, a bit of twisting the truth, is like peanuts against that and easily common reaction amongst a few unstable people.

Oh look the troll deleted his account anyway... lets see how the next sockpuppet is called...

Nielsen game ratings - Jan 2012 Top-Games: World of Warcraft played 2x more than LOL; WoW played 6 times more than Aion
X-Fire player stats - Jan 2012 Top-Games: League of Legends played 1.5x more than WoW; WoW played 15 times more than Aion
"X-fire, always turned out accurate","X-fire, just like real surveys","X-fire, reason to suspect bias? no!",

hacks are in every online game, and yes its annoying but lets be honests on first 1-4 months AION was full of those (Bots, Hacks and stuff alike), last year i played for 2 seasons (2+3months) and i notice only some jerks using hacks (spatalos european server)

No offense, but the usage of hacks was crazy in my last weeks of Aion. Every second PvP was versus exploiters that could hide themselves, hover in the air where you can't, so they could kill you without you being able to fight back. They had higher attack speed, higher run speed and all the crap the OP talks about. Global chat was full of people complaining about hackers killing them everywhere. Not to mention bot trains inside pvp arena. I've seen people loose days of AP grind effort to exploiters and no, they won't get any help from NcSoft even if they post videos on the retail forums and make reports en masse.

If GameForge lets people exploit as much as NcSoft allowed them to do, the game will only be playable for exploiters and pve fans that hide in first zone/instances.

That post made me laugh. How can you prove the obvious when mmorpg.com doesn't allow you to prove it? I suggest you spend 5 minutes on google and confirm it yourself. Aion got lots of unfixed exploits and everybody playing on retail for pvp these days will be able to confirm it that they are being used large scale.

Here's some reading stuff for you from the last server that I played on:

http://forums.eu.aiononline.com/eu/showthread.php?t=32909

The link is to the official NcSoft forum, so MMORPG.COM mods, no need to censor it, you won't loose your fansite status.

Players come for the game, but they stay for the people- Most Devs have forgotten this.

I played at launch and I didn't see what you describe at all...

I saw bots, sure, but tbh they were pretty much using space that players didn't utilise to grind. I know it's controversial to say and flies in the face of popular thought, but they really didn't get in the way and they actually even drove the prices of the AH down due to market glut. It really wasn't the drama most made it out to be.

I think most players had a fit about the chat spam advertising the kinah more then the bots themselves... As soon as that went folks relaxed. Funny how out of sight = out of mind for most.

As for hacks...No, didn't see many of those at all personally, and I played and PvPed heavily. Not saying the usual asshats didn't use them but 'full'? Not in the slightest. I saw way more hacks in DF, for example, then I saw in this game in the same period. The guys that ued hacks got called out pretty quickly as well, and I know for a fact that there were bannings because of it (and for buying farmed kinah).

I also played EU servers. Maybe Spat had more serious issue, I don't know, but that would make it a server culture problem (maybe you had 2 or 3 problem legions) then a serious game one.
