Game was really shit back then. Probably still is, but you know... becomming free 2 play, with vet and shit for low cash, unlocking most of cool stuff. http://www.aionfreetoplay.com/website/features/ As I can read, you need to have paid for at least one month to be able to be a vet? I guess its just before February? So I can sub now and be vet when it hits?

In this moment it will not go f2p in the US, but it might happen in the near future. Aion is still one of the best games on the mmo market. I play it since launchdate and saw how much the game changed and grew to a really good one. You cant compare it anymore with the first 6 months of the game...,...

Will I be vet if I had just free trial account and just yesterday used full account serial key to activate it and I do not plan to renew (pay for) my account in January when 30 days free pass so I can try Rift too? Yep, you spent money on the client so your a Vet. :) As a ex player of both Rift and this game though I have a feeling we will be seeing you at launch... Rift is a cold sterile lonely game until you reach the end game. The fresh server launches for Aion will be a blast :)
