Just wondering what the ratio of Fan vs Hater is on this particular forum. I see a lot of people usually bashing Aion. Personally I didn't play Aion past the 30 day subscription but in my opinion Aion is not a game for a PvE player which I am. If I was a PvP player I think Aion to me would have been a solid game. Still I think its the best interpretation of what we already have in the industry which imo being the best of the status quo around though not revolutionary is still not a bad place to be.
Anyways my point is it would be interesting to see just for basic numbers sake how many people here like Aion and how many people are displeased with Aion for X Y and Z reason.

There are more "haters" than fans of all games here. The reason being, most "haters" are honestly just trolls who love to get reactions from fan boys and fan girls. I know I did in the Darkfall forum for a bit. I never played the game, never had a desire to, I just was having fun with the die hard AV loyalists. |

The IRONIC thing is - according to the poll - there's more people that like it compared to dislike it (2/3's like the game at this time anyways).

There is nothing wrong with getting fan boys and girls worked up from time to time. It is very amusing to do. Keep in mind, I only trolled the DF forum from time to time, so I am not a true troll. Now, if all you do is that, then yes, you are a true troll and need to be forced to watch Spice World til you go insane. |

The game has good gameplay and good graphics, something that hasn't been done in an mmo since wow. Other then that i can't really say one good thing about the game. Just because you love it doesn't mean everyone else will, at the same point just because a greater amount hate it, doesn't mean everyone will. Honestly i doubt anyone can argue that this game is a niche game that won't appeal to the masses. ps i think most of the haters have moved on now from this game, I actually went onto my second month of the game which i totally regret. But i've noticed that you can't make any constructive criticism about this game without getting your head bitten off by fanbois |

This is a tough question really given that unhappy players are more likely to post over and over again that the game sucks or whatever other negative things they can. You also have the extreme fan boys who light fires with their posts against the haters. There are still issues with the game, but there are some really great things in this game as well. Each person has their own opinion and it is important that you take that into account when reading what people post. |

It is hard to tell! It feels like there is a lot of haters, but I think it may be the same few just posting constantly. Then again the same can be said of the fans :) Really it doesn't matter. Haters just have hearts of stone. On a general game forum there will always be more haters. Why? Because people that like the game are usually playing and few care to come defend or sell the game to others. I would guess it is about 70% angst at all games and 30% game supporters on general forum boards. |
