There is a number I would really love to see all new MMO's publish, but know there is zero chance. That is, the amount that left the game after the first month. I know many will say that this would only show those that did not give the game a chance, etc, but I do not think so, I think it would be very revealing.

I would predict that Aions mass exodus after first month set a record help by (I assume) AoC. If you took a list of Aions first months problems and compared them to the list from first month of AoC, it (Aions) would dwarf it. Then what the kicker would be is NCSOFT way of the way they handled things. Virtually zero communication, mass bans of apparently innocent players (again, this is assumed as they later got the accounts back), the 8-10 hour queues, More bots then all other MMO's combined plus the way they taunt by naming their bots zwqqqq and other things knowing there is no fear of banning, the crysys.dll crashes no live GM's, ...the list goes on.  I did not play AoC in the beginning but use it to compare simply because the rumors are its launch was legendary in failure.

First question is: "Why?"

The answer that comes to my head is: "To help make the Asker feel better."

Those numbers wouldn't change what you did that day. It wouldn't change what you planned to eat, drink, or even what time you would go to bed. For a number of people that number wouldn't even make them decide whether or not they would play the game.

All that number would do is make you feel good. Feel... justified.

Now... the final question is: "Why do you need to feel good... or even justified?"

Gms said that they dont talk about upcoming patches or what they are going to do on forums is because there are people that sue bots that also visit the forums to know every ways on exploiting the game to its favor.

Dunno if its true or not but they said with the upcoming patch there is something that is against the bots/gold spam they didn't show all the patch notes for what I said above if it's true.

You start out by wanting a statistical breakdown of all canceled subs on all MMO's. You finish off with a paragraph openly bashing Aion with little else to use as a comparative, save for AoC, which you haven't even played. I fail to see how your post is anything but a personal rant.

If at first you don't succeed, pay someone who will.

Giving exodus numbers for a game would be like a Hospital giving out patient fatality numbers.

They could be the best doctors in the world, the best hospital ever, but all you would see is how many people have died in that place and would probably never step foot into teh waiting room.

Same applies for a game. Could be a game that you would actually love for many many years, that would offer the best gameplay for your play style, etc etc, but you would probably see that after the first month 50% of the pop bailed on the game. Then you would most likely chalk it up to the game being a failure and never give it a chance.

There are 3 types of people in the world.
1.) Those who make things happen
2.) Those who watch things happen
3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"

I would appreciate it if they had never announced numbers of people playing their game.

If it contains the words video and game, it must be a WOW clone.
