check the whole lot of server lol not just one ,and add the rest of the day not just prime time

its 75 % empty  and when there are player its mostly east coast

the rest of the day ho say 12 hour all server are mostly empty

the only 25% i give is because 5  or 6 server are full 5 hour a day

Er.. where the hell are you getting your numbers?

I'm pretty sure you're pulling them out of your ass, but I would like to know just the same. If you're going off of the server login screen not saying "High" 24/7 for each server, then lol @ you and your proof is terrible.

.. But in a good way.

drbaltazar i dont know what your smoking, but the servers are all hammered....queues every night on them all apart from the new ones theyve added, why would they have just added servers in the last week if there 75% empty.....engage brain before fingers, and i play 50+ hours a week, so i do see all times

75% empty, thats a bit over the top. I admit since launch ive not sat in any queues on the US servers. But most are still on high.

This is a clear fail from NCSoft. If their game is so insanely popular right now (wait for free month to end) they should add more servers asap. I guess many would rather re-roll than continue the queuing every evening.

Queues have gone down etc... but it is still far from how it should be or far from what most people are used too from other MMOs today.

And people, please don't start questioning why people queue for the game... they do it because they like it!

Have they opened that many more servers in the US ? Are americans less interested in the game ? I just cannot figure out this disparity.
On my server (Vidar EU) there is a 3 hours queue every evening at peak time. I'm not in a rush or hurry to play the game, but I can understand why people get annoyed.

EU is bigger than NA

Both populations are about 300 millions.

The population of Europe is over 800 million as of 09, the population of the European Union regions combined hit over 500 million this year and is climbing.
So there's around a 200 million difference...

Aww...ok, I was a bit far off.
But where do I have the 300million number from? I believe it was US only and the €-regions.

Suggestion? Open temporary servers. Allow people to play on them so the ques will die down, and then when everything starts to settle and/or they open more servers, just allow free transfers off the temporary servers, and it should go smooth.

1. They opened more servers

2. The end of the free month will let the numbers drop (unless not, then AION might be really big)

3. They work on the server transfer, first one for free, and state it can be ready next month

This, if all works out, could solve the queue issues for most if not all realms. The new realms so far have 0 queue as I heard from friends.

It seems to be pretty much prime time now, and the queues are no where near as bad as they used to be. I was expecting to get hit with a 2 hour queue just now and was pleasantly surprised that there's only about 700 people with a 30 min wait  for my server [Telemachus] whereas it used to be always 2000 people in queue at times like this. =)

Yeah, nobody is playing Aion anymore, the servers are way too crowded  :-P

NC-Soft are doing exactly the right thing no matter how things are going to play out. Either the game continues to grow more popular, in which case crowded servers are a good thing, it increases the hype and gives the impression that the game is even more popular that it really is. It works much the same way as a perpetually long queue outside a nightclub.

And if things go the other way, and the number of subscriptions start to drop significantly after a month or two, then it will be disastrous if they give in to pressure too soon, nothing screams failure like empty servers and mergers.

If you have to queue to get into a nightclub the VAST majority of people won't even go there in the first place (word fo mouth) and many will turn up, see a queue and then go somewhere else never to return. Have you seen the bad press Aion is getting in mainstream gaming circles? It's everywhere how much of a failure the EU launch has been.

If people leave in great numbers, and they definitely will after the first month is concluded in EU, it's terrible press and a lasting legacy of incompetence. NC had thousands of customers wanting to play their game, but because NC didn't open enough servers, their customers left....thats a pretty huge disaster no matter what kind of spin you want to try and put on it.

yes but they still go to a nightclub just a different one with a shorter queue, plus nightclubs are not open 24/7, so did you even think about it before you post?

Have you thought about what you said ? ... really ? no think again ? thats it come on think about it.

Also you do pay a fee and buy the game to have access to it 24/7 its the entire point of paying your subscription.

Failed launch utter crap they have gone completely silent on me after 4 emails seeking a refund. I spent  money on something i got to use 3 time's and spent over 30 hour's queue'd what a utter farce.

The mmo industrie needs some regulation asap. Tierd of being screwed out of money time after time.
