..Is this game badass!

Now, ok, I'm only 13, but woah, what a blast. I mean everything from sound to graphics, to animation and AI, it's perfect. I really had my doubts on this game, but I might actually purchase it!

I'm playing a Cleric, seems like a mage with healing powers lol, but it's awesome. The cutscenes make it feel more alive (wish they were longer) and the quests? God damn I love that quest arrow (shame on you, lotro!).

I got on 1 thing that I hate about this game: It MIGHT turn out like WAR. I have probably invited over 200 people since I tried the beta (yestersay...) and 198 of them declined. The 2 that did accept ,I made good friends with them.

It just makes me bang my head, why would you even play a mmorpg if you intend to solo, that's like playing CSS with bots. Fucking hate it. Sorry, I know, some of you might go "well, maybe if you PMed me first", but honestly, the whole proceduré with /whisper x "Hi, wanna group up"? x 200 x kind of time wasting. Now even if I did PM and did form a group, the guy always seemed to do his thing and rather than using /group he used /s. Ah, I know, first time mmorpg, gotta learn the commands, but if you ask me, once you've played an mmorpg, you know the standarts for an mmorpg. /g, /s, /gu, /w, and so on. Works in every mmorpg. Maybe it's just me, I'm very social, very chatty, probably a rare kind in mmorpg these days now, eh?

Ok so I'm sorry for my confusing text but I'm really hyped about Aion, I can't wait to see whats lurking beyond 20. Maybe its only the low levels that are fun, maybe its because its a new game..but I may actually call it the best mmorpg i've played since Guildwars before it went empty !

I might reach lvl 20 today, so if theres anyone playing on the Ariel server (EU region) then I'm up for some companionship!

IF they wanna do the Main Missions and follow the Storyline then they`ll have to Group up. During the Missions there are a lot of parts where you are sent to kill Elite Mobs which are impossible to solo at that level.

So dont worry , eventually everyone will turn around at some point.

Aye, but I thought trying out a new game, new quests and so on with a partner would be more fun than soloing it. Applies for me, not for everyone else I guess!

But thanks, when are the "main missions" coming?

They start with level 1. You have Missions [ the yellow ones] and Quests [ blue ones ]. In the first Zone you are able to solo the whole Mission-line for that Zone , but later on it changes.

In the 10-20 Zone the Missions at 17 and above will start requiering a Party to complete.

Good, I can't wait. Fuck, this game is Guildwars + mmorpg = Aion!

Hope this game will entertain me enough until Guildwars 2 releases

Hehe, you should know that random, unsollicited invites are considered to be very annoying by most people :)

Especially by grumpy oldies like me; we have a hard time coping with youthfull enthousiasm I guess.

Well, while minding your own business like fighting mobs, handing in a quest, socializing or whatever, suddenly;

*pop*

"Player *insert name here* invites you to a party"

It is just common curtesy to ask people to join in a text message before sending an invite, I guess. Unless the comon purpose to joining up is very obvious to all participants, I suppose. Most people experience it to be a kind of spam to invite or trade without asking.

Yeah. I don't like random invites either.  I prefer if someone asks me to join their party, and the reason why.  OP is also right, though.  It could have been a huge waste of time typing all that crap.

Lol, you're hyped up that's good. If you're enjoying the first 20levels than it's probably a given that you'll be enjoying the lvl25+ levels as 1-20 are the most boring levels to play (mainly because it's just too similar to other traditional MMOs).

I'm not sure what server I'm going to be playing on as I'm not in a guild currently. I'll probably be playing with a couple of friends and none of us have any problem in joining any server, so why not, the more the merrier.

EDIT: Seeing as I skimmed through your OP, I misunderstood. I'm actually talking about the launch of the game and not the Beta. Ah well, I guess my post could still be relevant lol.

I usually jump off from huge heights and then just before impact hit for the wings such a rush

PVP is so fun . Usually mages with their roots and ranged attacks kill em off before I can melle them , so I in pvp if my Hp drops beloww 50% I take my wings and fly off , the guy didnt realise what happened and was not able to immediately fly after me . lol happened 6 times in a row

I guess you would have a better turnout if you ask people instead of spamming invites.

At least I like the social aspects of MMOs and why should I expect to have a good time with someone who is too lazy to even talk to me?

The general solo mindset in MMOs is annoying though, there I fully agree with you.

I really enjoy the aspect of Grouping up with people and finnishing of quests together and at the same time you get to know eachother as a person. Alittle talking while your regenerating or having a vent server with the guild is awesome =)
And after you've played with the same group a while you get to know how they play and you get a better group harmony and cooperation. There is no doubt in my mind that having a group of people that you enjoy playing with leaves you alot more satified with your gaming then just running around by yourself ^^
Mmos are a social game, contact and cooperation with other people is a must!

You will find ppl groping more passed 16 so no worries. If your that hyped, ur just gonna die at 20+

I never understood what people had against it either. I think it's mostly just a convention used for people to feel superior over newer players. However, its usually considered rude to "blind invite."
