I was reading over some MMO news recently and saw that folks are playin Aion on Chinese servers, I was wondering what it took to get in the action!  

I already have read the FAQ on it and I've been following this title for a while now.

Was mostly wondering if there was an "un offical" NA server that everyone was playing on? 

I was interested in playing the Eylosians  (I think thats how its spelled, the angelic looking guys)

Perhaps the "chanter"  (I think thats the bardish one)

If anyone has any information I'd be in your debt!

Nope. Many of us are P2Ping the Chinese version {Mod Edit}. Prefereed you don't ask any more questions after that. If you want to play just do your research or check aionsource.

If there are such rules as these they should state them in the Aion Forum...

It seems a little strange they wouldn't warn people that you can't ask questions about it...

I mean this is a cite for MMORPGs... why wouldn't you be allowed to discuss playing them, does it mater that its chinese release only?

I mean they should consider what would happen if the Worlds.com law suit goes through.

We'll all be playing MMO's based outside of the US.

Whether you subscribe or not is not the issue. Modifying the game's original files breaks the EULA and TOS, this includes the English patch. Purchasing an account using someone else's Adult ID is also illegal. NCSoft requested we remove any content related to this.

These rules apply to all of our forums, not just Aion specific. We do not support any form of piracy, hacking software, or breaking the EULA and TOS of said games. We also do not support illegal activities on our forums.

Well all i did to make an account was type in a username and password and then i logged on and started playing. I dont know how thats hacking or fraud? I might be wrong

Ok so then getting an Adult ID and the English patch are both illigal?

See that was the confusion.

It seems really silly, I mean you're paying NCSoft to use their product... and multiple people have contacted their support and asked if its ok to play and they've said yes.

Though if obtaining an Adult ID is wrong then I totally understand that.

there are about 100 or more people playing Elyos on the Northern Region cluster:  www.aionsource.com/forum/china/12531-region-2-north-china-isp-selected.html

and the server name on that region is called clock tower:  www.aionsource.com/forum/china/12573-server-clock-tower.html

Nah. I just know what and what not to talk about here. I used to make accounts for korean games back in the day. I had legal ID's from my friend that I could use, but security cautions closed the topic for it. I didn't get in trouble or anything though.
