On amazon, the box says it's for Windows XP. There's nothing there saying it's for Vista. Is this just because the release date isn't solid? I'm pretty sure it's capable on Vista I just wanted to double check.

It will work. NCSoft would be stupid not to make it Vista compatible.

Why? Win7 is beta, and no company pursues compatibility with a beta OS. Wait for atleast the RC release before even thinking about demanding things. BTW, it does work. But just don't expect it to keep working when it's a beta OS.

Online games unlike solo games rarely have serious OS and video card issues. They get updated every one to two months. Only a new video card could cause a tempory hitch so stay calm folks. :)

I tried using windows 7 during Aions Chinese Beta and it wouldnt work.  I couldnt get GameGuard to work...and the forums and everyone at that time said it would not work on W7 because of this after.  Have things changed since Aion's Chinese release?  I had to install Aion on my Vista partition for the game to work, I could not start the game in Win7...just wouldnt work.

I'm not demanding anything. I was just saying that when Windows 7 is released publicly, Aion better have support for it. It is not that far off. It is rumored that the RC is going to be available to download for subscribers to MSDN and TechNet on May 5.

Works on Vista Ultimate x64.

 First of all, it works just fine on Vista.  So don't go off half-cocked before you know what you're talking about.  It has been documented to work on both 32 and 64 bit OS's.  As for it working with Windows 7, Microsoft has made Win7 to be one of the more backwards compatible OS's they have ever released.  It has advancements, but is a more simplified user experience than what Vista is.  And I am sure that most modern, current games will run with no trouble on the new OS.

But that isn't even an issue right now, so don't start expecting the apocalypse before the horsemen have even gone out of the gate...

How did you get Game Guard to work or find a bypass for GG on Windows 7?

I tried to play the Chinese Open  Beta and I could not get it to work on Windows 7, everyone said that you can't play it on Windows 7 because Game Guard dosent' work with it as of now.  So unless someone came up with a workaround in the past few weeks then I haven't seen it work on Windows 7.

There are still some problems with Vista (32 or 64) as the game run entirely on DirectX 9 and Vista does not update DirectX 9 by default. You have to update DirectX 9 on Vista manually for the game to work.
