i wish i knew, i was using it to get my game up and running and poof, gone lol

I guess NCsoft saw it and mmorpg deleted it, I don't think NCsoft west is very happy about people trying out the game and maybe burning it out before they release over here.

They can't blame us though :P 1 year for localization and the lack of a proper beta looks excesive.

NCSoft made it known that they wanted the thread taken down, so upon their request, I took it down and will not be re-posting it up.

Modifying the contents of Aion: Tower of Eternity is against the EULA & TOS and such and that's just what the English patch does, sorry guys. I personally uninstalled it and will be waiting for the NA version. Look forward to seeing you all there.

We are breaking the EULA and TOS by doing so, so no, they do not want us playing on the Chinese servers. At least using the English patch and using an Adult ID that belongs to someone else. Not sure if you strip all that away if they care or not.

Interesting. So, who made that English patch available? It was very professional. I counted only 3 typos in quest text between levels 1 and 13 playing the Asmodian side.

I only tried it for 4 days in open beta, simply following the directions posted for how to DL and patch, including the ENU.pak. Now i'm sad I was in violation of the TOS. Between here and aionsource you'd think NCsoft might have posted something sooner that the english patch was a no-no.

Still, it seems like the OB resulted in very good word of mouth, so I doubt it'll end up being a bad thing.

I think NCSoft benefited from it more than anything which is why I think they didn't jump all over it. That's why I waited so long to post the guide. I had my eyes on the ones over at AionSource and never seen any word of the English patch being a no-no, and like you, I assumed since it was translated so well that it was something official.

I was enjoying the game, but I don't mind waiting now that I had all my questions answered about it.

Honestly I don't really care if they like me doing it or not, though going through the trouble of getting an adult id seems annoying.

I just got my account activated an it is a really beutifule game not very talkative at the beggining area but its  plays really well.
