NA servers are very active, alot of beginners located in crowded areas; Haven't accessed the EU Servers.

It should send you to the one that is best sugested. I've played for a year not to long ago and it seems to be well and running, all quests and NPCs are connected and nothing I've found removed or broken within the newest updates to the game.

NA servers are run by GameForge, who has as terrible reputation.   A large number of Europeans would rather play with 200+ ping on the NA servers than play on the EU GameForge servers.

New update is pretty good.   It streamlines a lot of lower level content and has a ton of bonuses to get people up to speed.  You don't have to worry about gearing up while leveling at all.   It's definitely a good time to 'try' the game, especially there are a lot of people re-rolling the new classes so it's extremely easy to find groups for instances.

Siel right now is the most populated and most balanced server.
