...all the bots & gold spammers I read & hear about. I would consider trying it if there was a free trial though... considered, meh.

hmm there was a free trial before the game launched. But you had to work for the BETA entry. Bots/gold sellers are no problem what so ever. The biggest problem is NCSOFT, NCSOFT do not have the in-game policing to deal with the bots otherwise bots/spammers/goldsellers would have been under control. You see the same bot spamming for days If you are interested in the game play/graphics/grouping then BOTs don't really affect you much. Over time you learn to ignore them and block them, eventually your eyes will stop noticing them on your screen lol

I am in fact a VERY helpful person in MMO's enjoying being a healer/support class. So saying Aion WILL be a better world without me when you don't even know me, is plain stupid, lame & immature. The only gold spam I see now is the private stores, I don't even think you can call it "spam." I've played Aion since beta and have seen many improvements. NCSoft addressed the long q times within a few days, bots are becomming less of a nuisance. I play mainly for pvpve which can get really fun at times.

On my server the GMs have started logging on and banning people. The amount of gold spam has significantly decreased. Bots are still a problem though. Not sure what they have planned for bots yet. True Neutral Half-Elf Ranger Mage |

The spam is over? I can't even frequent public channels on my server or even class channels for that matter - it's insane. I'm tired of spending my time blocking people then unblocking them to make room to block more people due to the block list limit. There are bots everywhere now and even more so in the abyss because they can't be reported for botting there for some lame reason. I have a 31 sorcerer who has 399 alchemy (and 399 handicrafting) and is on the last part of the alchemy expert test... I have put a ton of time into this game and I don't even want to login anymore for the reasons of the OP.

Free trials are generally introduced one the game becomes a bit stable and they are looking for more players beyond the ones willing to buy in. Right now Aion has plenty of players and new ones joining so there isn't a need for a free trial. Also, a free trial would just be abused by the RMT crowd. The gold spammers are still about as are the personal stores flying their adverts. To be honest if NCSoft is really working on this when they put something in place that will disappear pretty quickly so I'm not too fussed about it as other than being a very small distraction it really isn't a problem. Now the issue with the botters is a bit more serious. But, what I think has happened isn't a huge increase in the gold farmer bots but because people feel that nothing is being done and nothing will be done many people are botting their alts and what not to level them and farm. I suspect their justification is that well since everyone else is doing it even though we know that isn't the case. Hopefully, they will get a serious smack down in the near future. Assuming something is done in the next month of so I will be happy but if it drags on for too long then I might need to reconsider my position.

Gold spamming is not that bad, a small percentage still spam once and a while, but easy to block them. Now the bots are a different issue. Seems like their are a lot but not really that many as people say, yes they are still a nuisance to most but i do see some getting banned with in 10 to 12 days after i report them. Some servers are worse with bots than others, but i believe that has to do with the amount of gold buying occuring on that server. Caught a few guild botters also and also reported them. So far have not gotten to a point that they have frustrated me yet, so i say give it a try, you just may like it.
