I could be completely wrong here... but isn't this game already out in korea? So barring some translation I can see no reason as to why this game is still in testing phases here... unless it's to sell pre-order and fileplanet subs as well as up the hype as high as possible...

Yes it all ready out in Korea but doing an English translation and getting the servers up and beta testing it can take a long time to complte.

Bingo Scooter, you hit the nail on the head.  Translation issues are the main reason, and NCSoft has always rolled out their games to Korea first and then to the rest of the world, mostly because they sell the best there.

Be grateful they aren't going to keep us several versions behind like was done in L1/L2.

I prefer they get a proper translation, if this turned out to be like the original FF7 translation no one would play >.< ((I'm still confused how that game was so successful with such a fail translation O.o))

you are exaggerating the problems with FF7's translation. I've played it through several times and barely noticed it.
