 Just got on the beta for the first time this afternoon, and I'm wondering if this is common for everyone.  When moving (running), my character is continually "jumping" backwards.  It appears to be really bad server lag, so I'm wondering if others experience this too.  

I've seen other players appear to do this, but it could be client side for me, which is why I'm asking.  I know we're talking about a beta here, but it's pretty bad.  Otherwise, I like it a lot so far!

You are on right now.  I have not logged on yet but there was no lag what so ever when I was in the previous beta test.  some one out there tell me if you can really log on now I was looking at the date this person joined.

I didn't have that in the last two betas....

 Yes, I was on for about an hour and a half starting right at 2:00 CST, when it went live.  I know others had login problems, but I logged on and off a few times trying different settings, and had no trouble with login.  I'm not logged on currently, but I was about to get back on and try the other server.  I was playing the server that is Asmodian side. 

 Just logged on again and now it's silky-smooth.  Odd.  Thanks for the replies.

Its not strictly you.  I and a few other people I talked to in game have noticed that the performance this weekend is not as smooth as it was on the previous two weeks.

I actually experienced that the first beta weekend, but not the second one. I couldn't tell you about this weekend because I can't log in.

Movement feels fine to me this beta.

This happens to me as well. Not horrible but it happens. My biggest gripe is the responsiveness of things like the auto-run button or sitting down/standing up, the pause annoys the hell out of me for some reason.

I had some bad performance when I was playing earlier today as well - a lot of hitching and rubberbanding.

While I didn't have those problems too badly last beta, I did experience some rubberbanding when running or jumping down an incline or hilll in both betas.  Anyone else have that too?

Also, in the last beta, if I was grouped with someone, the other person often appeared to be running backward or sliding when they were actually running forward.  The person I was playing with said it looked like I was often doing the same thing from his perspective (i.e. running backward).

I have this too... not often but it has happened a few times.

You mean the small rollback?  I rarely experienced it, but I think it might just be lag.  What type of connection are you using?
