An interesting aspect is how they marketed this - they didn't give the typical mmo tech presentation with explanations of how the quest system works, story arcs, % of instancing, class/skill system, etc.; instead the message was simply "See the Movies and Live the Legend", Adventure Alongside Jack Sparrow.

They're Mainstreaming the marketing, making an appeal to the general audience who liked the movies and think the genre is Fun, maybe enough to try the game; not mmog fans who want to master another complex sophisticated mmog.

if you want a extremely simplistic game this is it.  It is really designed for kids. Most adults will fall asleep playing this game.

I believe it will bring more people into the mmorpg genre just like wow did by marketing it or making it more playable by the general populas where as the more mmorpg vets still are looking for the next, more complicated mmorpg. Interesting marketing though .
