Was thinking about checking that game out? Is it any good? Dying of boredom over here ever since I quit wow. Its pretty sad but it's almost like WoW left a gap in my life, and I cant find a game to fill that gap. thanks for all the help

I haven't found it much different than any other asian grinder

I was invited to the Closed Beta but after I read some review of some people on the internet I deceided to not download it. Most comments say it is just a Typical asian grindfest in a wesern jacket. And by the way assuming you didnt got invited for the CB you can't play it yet.

I can relate to how you feel, all the MMORPGs right now are rather boring and static. Currently I've pretty much given up on them and am just waiting for Darkfall.

   Rohan goes from bland , to uber bland in 20 lvls. The maps , the monsters , the character armor is just border line acceptable , that is on a 4 gig , 512 video ram card and duo core pc.  They crippled the graphic setting , but even doing thier edit and putting it on max , its about Rappelz level of graphics.

     The dungeons are nothing to write home about , they are slightly better than 1 color dungeons of Rappelz. The stat placement , you get 4 points each level , its pretty easy to gimp yourself. You need to be in a guild to fix them.

   The grind is pretty much unbearable because of the poor textures , poor models , and poor animations. The best part is that , its free. Other than that I try Requiem , while its not much better , you can power level to 40 in about 3 days. The dungeons are better , and the skills are better done.

     If you afford a paid one , DDO , has really come out of its shell. The game is team based mostly , but its got replay vaule , like a drunk ex wife and her sister on a saturday night. Its more action based than most, and the community is really nice in helping you learn the ropes.

the animations are actually pretty good, actually pretty much everything is animated as well!

on top of that: its a free game. what do you expect? some kind of crysis graphics?^^ for a F2P game it looks pretty good and im lookin forward to play it!

They were on 50% in the ClosedBeta apparently. When OpenBeta released (or are they waiting til' official release) the graphics will be twice as good.

Believe or not.. it was released in Korea 2005! what a shame they made a  dead game in western version.

It's pretty good. I mean, there were some bugs in the Open Beta. But that was to be expected. Especially since NO free game would ever expect that many people to try to get on all at the same time. Like right after it opened.

The game definitely isn't for everyone. But it has a LOT of good stuff in the game. It's also got a kick ass GM team. And great graphics. And really hot characters.

Oh, and to those that say it's a grind fest? Go play other games, then go to Rohan. Seriously. What the hell are you talking about? It's not hard to get to 20 in one day if you no-life it. I mean, they start you off with an exp boost.

yeah i agree with these comments except the comparison to rappelz...

rappelz has much much higher detailed textures, the characters in rappelz dont look as plain and cartoony as rohans, and the skills look 100x better in rappelz, although it could be as grindy as rappelz, i gave up at lv20 on rohan,

to me it looks/feels/plays like a game that would have come out 7 years ago...also from what i saw it has the makings of a game owned by gold farmers,botters, and other game ruining commuities

it was an epic waste of a download and even on the highest graphic settings it looked ancient.

and dont tell me that its free so i should be happy, or that the game is the best game ever at lv 5000 or whatever...if the game cant keep me interested for 20 levels im not sticking around , i dont care how fun the end game is.

also i had the problem if getting ks'ed non stop, everywhere i went for 20 levels straight...either farmers/botters or a rude community, either way this game belongs in 2002 not 2008

Are you guys, like.. even playing the same game that I am? How does it get bland? Level 30 is the PvP, and that's when it gets REALLY interesting. Try participating in the Township Wars. Then you'll see how 'bland" it is.

The graphics? Guess what - This was made in Korea first. Naturally the graphics will not be as good as a game that came out "now". Not to mention the detail that is in the game. Have you ever looked at your character? You can see your eyelashes.

Cartooney? Isn't that what WoW is? I mean, hello. Go try playing some other games if you want Cartooney. It's not real life graphics, no. But it's not "cartooney". Try Holic Online if you want cartoons.

Poor animations? Ha! Maybe if you actually played the game you could tell. But, oh right, based on your opinion. You haven't.

The characters chant when they cast spells. They do the actions for them. It looks good. The armor is detailed, if a bit sparse for the females. The Knights actually have "armor" that looks like armor.

Requiem? Are you serious? That game has nothing on Rohan, and anyone who tried that game knows it. That game is a grind fest through and through. Yes, I tried it while waiting for Rohan to open. I uninstalled it as soon as Rohan came into Open Beta. The only thing Requiem has is the gore, that's it. The graphics aren't that great either.

Yes, you have your opinions. But try actually playing the game past the beginning stage before you try to mislead someone. Level 20 is only the beginning.

you read how it was compared to rappez...a older korean game, even with max graphic settings the older rappelz had much much higher texure details and much better looking avatars.

and yes the avatars look cartoon like and i dont play wow

animations are not that good...sorry...mabey cabal ruined my perception of cool animations...just an opinion...

so to sum it up, my experience wasnt exciting enough to keep me to the fun filled lv 30 or whatever.... the game ran cruddy, the feilds are full of botters or idiots who cant stop ks'ing

you say i gotta play the game "past the begenning" before misleading ....if the begenning is not fun im not going to stick around...end of story...ive playe a lot of mmo's and i like to give all of em a try, i tried this one and it goes under "semi-average game" in my experience

if your not an absolute fanboi like saeles i feel you will be rather un-impressed with this game, if its your first mmo you might like it  though, but those who are experienced mmo'ers will not  be too impressed
