Of all the f2p games this one is probably the most boring.  They tried to make a better Diablo and failed miserably.   Anyone paying for this game, seriously has no idea what else is out there, almost any other game is better.

I played DR a while, things I found wrong with it are slow combat; seemed like for an action rpg things should die faster and do more damage and be in larger mobs and you should be able to herd mobs to and not run threw them. Other things I found were the skills all being placed around the character, should be placeable using mouse like gas blast, and no story is bad.

all but these things is good

Jesus, Ozmodan.  So surprising to see you rip on the game again.  Seems like every time there's a new piece of Dungeon Runners news, you're bashing it.  What's your deal?

The game is what it is - a light-hearted,  snarky and casual hack-n-slash.

The Basic concept of Dungeon Runners is fine. Combat feels right and graphic is defenately fine for a "free" game ( you have to pay for this game to enjoy it other wise you are stuck with third grade gear, in a game where gear is close to the only reason you ´go on).

How ever one major flaw is the " carrots". Each class has, what - 10 skills to learn at all. Theres just no RPG part in this game, you never feel like you are building something uniq. And in a game like this, character building is actually the only game driving mechanic. Its defenately not story or combat alone.

Add like 50 more spells and skills to each arcetype and we might have something addictive. Or, now that the game is a clone anyways. Add 20-25 more skills and spells and a Talent/perk tree where you can enhance abillitys in several inspiring ways...

When was the last time you played?  You don't have to pay for the game to enjoy it. That's complete bull.  There are plenty of level 100 (max level) free players with full mythic (rainbow gear) . Many of them are better equipped than my level 100 member character:  Here's an example of a free player vs. me:

Stemac (free)

vs.

UlrichWolfsbane (member)

As you can see, Stemac is hardly "gimped" and probably enjoys the game very much as a free player.

In regards to the skills for each class, DR has a "classless RPG" system.  You can be anything you want with any combination of skills.  Players only select a class at the beginning of the game to establish a starting template for their characters.  While attack styles tend to fall within five basic categories (Ranger, Mage, Fighter, Hybrid Ranger/Mage and Hybrid Fighter/Mage), how you build your character is completely up to you.  As you can see from my link above (it's dynamic, so will probably change periodically), I'm a ranger using at least 3 fighter skills and one mage skill out of my 10 slots.  In other words, 40% of my active skills are from different classes.  This demonstrates the very open class system.  Here's another example:

UlrichWolfsbane killing Abaddon

In this video, I'm using a fairly unorthodox build to very good effect.  I've only got 4 of 10 skills as ranger skills.  Heck, I swapped out one of the starting ranger passive skills for a fighter passive.

I enjoyed DR. I dropped the sub for TR and haven't tried it free yet.

Has the loot gnome made it in yet? Whatever you call it where the gnome guy runs around picks up gold off the mobs you killed.

I may have to check this out again since the semester is over. Great links btw Rhinok, the video was neat.

The patch that contains the support code for the bling gnome is on the public test server right now and the patch should go live in a week or two.  Players won't get to use the bling gnome until they purchase the retail box, though.

For those of you who just went "WTF? I thought this game was free?".  The retail box only costs $20 AND includes 6 months membership (a  $30 value). It's a sweet deal.  This is simply a way to get retail exposure for a free game.
