Just like to point out Beta isn't up yet, and the link you just linked is for forum members who got the e-mail. This is the e-mail notic letter you got if you was intrested in early beta and pre selected.

So no open beta isn't up yet, and only a few are being selected for close beta testing (when it does open). So unless you got the e-mail the link doesn't do anyone any good at this time since open beta registration isn't available yet.

Yes its true there is no open beta at all yet. They are in early closed beta. Luckily I got the same email as the poster above and am eventually getting into closed beta.

The only way you would have gotten that beta signup link would be if you had a registered forum account.

While it's true that the email was sent out to registered members, if you sign up on the forums and then register using that link, you'll be fine :)

As others have stated only Forum members are invited to sign up for the Closed Beta and that is only a consideration to get into the Closed Beta. Khatie posted that right now they are only in a closed friends and family part of the closed beta and the normal closed beta will not begin for another couple months.

 

The only way you would have gotten that beta signup link would be if you had a registered forum account.

Yesterday, I sent invitations to CREATE a Registered Account to be considered for Stargate Worlds Beta to all the members of the official forums at SGW.com.

Today I want to extend that invitation to the SGW fans here at MMORPG.com!

If you got the email, you do not yet have a guaranteed spot in closed beta. It is but an invitation to sign up for beta.

You're right, I started seeing more as I went on.  I still think its closer than that but that its a very limited Closed Beta to start with.  My guesses - and they are just that, guesses.  Hopefully the rest of us will hear something sometime.
