Why hello there, Bunter! My, you are on the ball!

Milestones are coming up fast here at Stargate Worlds, and the second quarter of the year ends this week, so you might imagine we are all very busy right now. But I'm happy to jump in and answer some questions here.

Ah, yes, the big BETA question. We may be a year away. Maybe more, maybe less. As to being a part of the beta, I am going to differ to studio head Dan Elggren on this one:

"Probably the best way to get on the radar for beta testing is to take part in the forums and be active in our rapidly growing community at www.stargateworlds.com."

Let me say...

I think I am not the only person to feel this way... please please, whatever you do, do not rush the beta.

Sure, distributers and publishers will always pressure you for a prompt release so they can earn some money... but nothing causes a bad reputation like an unfinished product!

The producers and directors couldn't agree with you more. We just had a huge team meeting today where we discussed, among other things, this very topic. The beta will be fully ready for you. There is no other way for it to be truly effective.

I just want to say i love how the game is coming along and i hope that the beta and the finished product will be able to be run on mid systems as well as high end. plus im a huge fan of Stargate and i am more than pleased to see that this game is being made.

whatever may be said about betas, I (and I am sure that lots of other people) use them to decide wether I will play the game or not.

I am such a fan of stargate sg1 and with all the cool info the have released lately, the only thing that could stop me from getting this game is not having the money to buy it when it comes out. I am looking forward to walking in the shoes of Daniel Jackson as my first character in the game.

You certainly won't have a problem doing that :)

All I can say is that I seen all of the seasons and have watched it to the very end. I knew that someone had to make a Stargate game because its just to good to past up!! So I cant really tell you how much I want to play stargate beta testing!!!!!!! ITs going to kick ass!!!!

Yea been a member of the stargate worlds forums for about 9 months, I guess i need to bemore active in it though since I only have 1 or 2 posts!!!!   I dont want to miss out on this beta, been waiting with friends for this game. 

Geesh i only commented on this game once,it was a favourable one.Now it just seems like a bunch of professionals running this game.LMao i hope that didn't sound wrong,i meant it as a good thing.I have no idea weather or not i will play this game,as i am finicky on several areas of a game.

I can at least say that your team seems mature and professional not like other demos or movies i have watched of DEVS acting like jerks or 12 yr olds,*cough*warhammer *cough*.

I'm not really into space/sci-fi type games,wich is too bad i really would like to give this game a shot.

Judging by my several thousand hours of online gameplay,i would say a HUGE priority will be to make the game function flawlessly in VISTA.I can only hope by that time nvidia and ATI get there heads on straight and have PROPER working drivers.I see several bad anomalies in several areas of games under the vista platform.

I always keep an open eye on all the releases so i will still come back to this one in the future.Enough useless rambling,i do hope your game succeeds,as it's a class act as compared to other games,GOOD LUCK !.
