Bullets - my only weakness! How did you know?

It's like I love every single feature they write on their site with the one exception of not being able to walk around as an avatar. However you can't have everything and to many ambitions for a too small team can be devastating, so it's much better than they restrict it that way.

I also LOVE the facts that there's only humans in space. Aliens tend to be boring and just like humans, with the exception they have 4 arms and 1 eye for no reason. Great.

Seemless is also going to be great, and this just shows that the game is going to look far better than eve. Planets and nebulas are sprites in EvE. Here you got volumetric clouds and shit. GREAT.

Real Time Combat. If done right RT combat will always be more skilled than turn based, simply because it has all the same skill factors(settings up good equipment and such) while adding the raw human skill.

Going to follow this one!

Also has many aspects of the x series as well. Minus the bugs of course... hopefully :)

Want Darkfall now!

The real time combat is getting more and more common in MMO in the furure, the devs are finally understanding  what we want

Who did invent the turn based combat? and why?

But the ONE thing that really got me was: FREEDOM to do whatever i want Thank you Infinity devs....

I am looking forward to not having skills. The skills in an MMO like this should be based on how good of a player *YOU* are, not how long your avatar has been "training" his/her skills. That is going to be very cool. Of course the only way to really implement something like this is to have "twitch" play.

I think there will be a large market for this game. I also think EVE will continue to exist along side. Some people don't like twitch play because they can't match the reaction times of 12 to 21 year old players. I am 32 years old and know I'll probably get wasted if I go head to head with some of the new breed out there

It is certaintly possible to not have to fire a single shot in game.
personnally, I'd rather resort to armed warfare as a last ditch attempt and rather explore and trade peacefully/chart and cartograph stars as I go along.

And if it gets too hard, just hire a few merc escorts will do nicely.
You can drive or be driven....the latter option for me please

I really hope they will have some kinda player driven economy. I'm not into combat much myself.. maybe if it's some evil alien race presence that adds a danger factor to everybody..  I like miniin'/gatherin' and craftin' myself.. if anybody played JumpGate it's a very old space sim online game with lotsa content but kinda outdated as far as graphics and gameplay goes.. though it wasn't when it just came out in 2000.

anyway, I gave Infinity 9 at hypermeter 8)

Played around with the early combat prototype last night and had a lot of fun. I really love how your spaceship actually "docks" on a spacecraft and you have to pilot your ship out of the spacedock. Flying spacecraft was never my thing but now I'm coming around to this type of gameplay. I like how my beams appear to travel infinetly in space and the crazy details they give to the asteroid. I was happy when I shotdown my first real live player and got rewarded with points that I could use to buy a new ship and missles. Was sad when I got it blown up.

Since they already have an engine and let people play an early prototype I'd have to say this is for sure looking "real" to me. I like all of their ideas and their brutal honestly. Bravo Infinity Devs for focusing on fun and not trying to add timesinks into the game left and right. I look forward to this I'll be keeping my eye on it. will also be playing the prototype more. spent bout an hour+ on it last night which is more time then I spend playing most released MMOs

I have to say that this game does look very promising. I tried out the Combat Prototype briefly and I have to say I'm most impressed. What impressed me most however was the fact that it ran flawlessly at 1024x768 on my mediocre run-of-the-mill PC and the visuals where very outstanding to say the least. I can't wait to try the whole game. Very outstanding job so far!

Very promising indeed. As an Eve Player I look forward to trying this one out as well. The Graphics look stunning considering that I can play fluently on my almost 3 year old PC. The  idea of on open, ever evolving universe is great and the fact that your not limited to trade or battle and can basically fly the galaxy doing whatever you want is fantastic.

I'm sick to death of eve's combat system hopefully this is something that far surpasses it.

I agree about eve's combat system, and so far with the ICP of infinity I've been amazed.

Combat in infinity is amazing... coming from eve I don't fall asleep in combat anymore
