I never played WAR, but I always feel a twinge of sadness when any gamers get that terminal diagnosis for their world. Sorry for your impending loss.

The Dragon's Prophet part of this report however had to make me LOL.   Dragon's Prophet launch was indefinitely delayed 3 days ago Bill.  Nice bit of journalism on your part that it had occurring even though it didn't.

In other "news" I hear Dewey defeated Truman...

Dragon's Prophet was not "indefinitely delayed". WTF are you talking about? Unless I missed something...

Okay sir, here we go...

pulling a quote from the post dated 09/18 which can be reached from your very own link:

"but after careful evaluation of the build, we have decided to push the release to give us extra time to ensure a robust, solid online gaming experience."

And from

in def i nite ~ adjective

not clearly defined or determined; not precise or exact: an indefinite boundary; an indefinite date in the future.

So, a "pushed release" + no clearly defined or determined new date = INDEFINITELY DELAYED

Therefore sir,  yes, I guess you did miss something.

There's also a post from those same forums dated 09/20 in which Yaviey states, "we are working around the clock and hope to share our new estimated launch date very soon."

In my experience "soon" is also an "indefinite" unit of time :p

Anyway, that whole post can be found here:

Hope this clears up any confusion for you sir.

I played WAR for a few months, it was fun, but didn't have staying power.

I had a feeling with the launch of D3 on PS3, that it was inevitable for the PC version to follow suit.

I did not realize that EA  ran War ,it makes the closure all the less surprising now.Closing up shop because the contract was up,lol, poor excuse.EA is simply a real bad business,it cares about nobody from it's employees to the gamer' is ONLY making games for pure profit. You might say oh ya no of course, but i belie ve their are actually some devs that have a passion for game design and not just doing it to make money.

Not sold on Blizzards reasoning behind removing the AH from D3,i would bet there is more to it.Simple reason is that having it there would not remove the same reason they gave which is to have players fight for loot, nobody forces anyone to use the AH.They could have also done the loot differently instead of completely removing the AH or rmt, like i said sounds fishy or they simply figured this was the easiest cost effective way to make change.

Whoa.... what a wall of text to defend a word that could easily be taken out of context. It launched today by the way, so it's definitely moot. :P

GW is notorious as treating fans horrible with IP HAMMER/etc. The game is epic story, art, pq, rvr, Questing, Dungeons , oh on? little to no money from EA/Mythic,for a 5yr old game. Very fun to say the least for people that get to things like Dungeons/LotD,etc Tue Sep 24 2013 1:33AM Report

Warhammer + SWTOR both failed me so hard.

I realy hoped they could replace WoW back then, but Warhammer was one massive bugfest and SWTOR was to shallow to keep playing.

Only good thing was Hutball :P

Sad that developers and lead desingers are either pushed to release shit or just cant do better.
