xAlrythx writes: that was a poor attempt at humour, not to mention a useless podcast, the quest system seems like the usual quest systems in most mmos, they seem to have made it easier to follow the storyline using chapters though props on that if it actually helps. Sun Jun 10 2007 8:40AM
Khamax writes: Seems like the usual systems? Where in any other game do you see a public quest system? or smart enough NCPs to know that you already killed the monster they wanted you to kill? Sun Jun 10 2007 9:44AM
shargas writes: The Public quests look really nice, not to mention the way they all have influence in the pvp system. Sun Jun 10 2007 10:14AM
Sp00sh writes: I love quests, and all of these seem like great new ideas! I can't wait! Sun Jun 10 2007 12:43PM
xAlrythx writes: I was just saying there really isn't anything new here, and it's not hard to program the game to record your kills off a certain type of monster and save it for the NPCs related to the specific monster type, there is nothing smart or advanced about the NPCs at all. Sun Jun 10 2007 3:27PM
Strapdoc writes: i like the way its been setup Sun Jun 10 2007 6:16PM
Brynn writes: Ah, the usual nay sayers who zero in on their personal views and miss the fun. Sun Jun 10 2007 6:31PM
Ronadem writes: all seemed like really good ideas, cant remember how many times ive been asked to collect some stupid thing like eyes or paws and only getting one, if that, from a single kill, i know the mob i killed had 2 eyes. The public quests arent that big of a change from raids but i think the new system will help out alot, finaly able to join a raid battle without waiting and searching for 40 different people. Sun Jun 10 2007 8:38PM
Rhoklaw writes: The quests types themselves are probably not innovative, no. The way you approach or complete the quests are what have been improved. Public raids are not exactly new either, no, in fact they've existed in Mythic's original flagship MMO DAoC as well as other MMO's, but most MMO's instance these raids, where here, its a public open raid. Is that broken down enough for you to understand? =) Sun Jun 10 2007 10:21PM
.Xaos writes: I adore Paul Barnett, best dev ever. "Helga, brave Helga..." xD Mon Jun 11 2007 4:38AM
Necrotide writes: I really like the idea of both the Exploration and the Public Quests. Turned from an IP I cared nothing about, to willing to pay monthly for. Mon Jun 11 2007 9:05AM
Ormtrod writes: Paul Barnett is hilarious. That was great and I love the fact that the kill quests already know if you killed the target creatures! Sweet. I am really looking forward to this! Mon Jun 11 2007 1:13PM
Isane writes: Interesting someone has missed the point, there are several big differences here. And that is no flashing question marks in at least 3 of the 6 types. Shows a lot of scope not seen in many of the current MMOs Mon Jun 11 2007 4:37PM
0k21 writes: yeah, I understood everything he said, pretty good podcast, longer and more informative than what the other ones were, they're starting to give more information from what I've seen. Tue Jun 12 2007 10:37AM
Povey151 writes: They didnt really add all that much new. BUT BUT BUT, they tweaked everything that was kinda broke about the standard system, and from the sounds of it made it much better. Again for me, this went from an IP i didnt really care about, well now im very interested. Wed Jun 13 2007 3:44AM

The Creators of WAR look like there really trieing hard to get rid of the common grind or atleast make grinding alot funner Fri Jun 22 2007 11:06PM

Alienovrlord writes: Awesome podcast as always. Say it with me people 'No more Kill a Bear!' :) Thu Jul 05 2007 1:30PM
Aguy writes: WAR creaters are trying to be as original as possible, while still maintaining the fantasy world. It looks like the quests in this game are going to be great. Another thing, I'm glad they are making those exploration quests. I'm so tired of seeing those people who could care less about the game's story. Fri Jul 20 2007 2:41PM
Smackr writes: until now it does not look to exciting :/ but I'm going to keep my eye on this game hoping to see something better and more original. have been a fan of warhammer since I was 7 yr old and have many good memories playing with my m8s. it would be a shame if a big project like WAR is not going to be more than this...
