  • Verminous Horde Dated

    The Warhammer Online team has announced that the Verminous Horde RvR pack will be available for players to purchase on November 18, 2010. This coincides with the v1.4.0 patch which brings the Skaven playable PvP race online, a Skaven themed dungeons and a revamped RvR system.

  • October Producer's Letter

    The October 2010 Producers Letter from Warhammer Online's Carrie Gouskos has been posted on the Warhammer Herald. It's a short post but packed with information about the 1.4.0 which contains content for all users of the game. Additionally, Gouskos talks about the Verminous Horde which will be hitting the EA store very soon. The Verminous Horde brings new content and equipment into the game. Check out the list.

  • Weekend Event & Double XP

    The Warhammer Online team is making it up to players who missed out on claiming their live event reward for the Daemon Moon event held last week. As a result, this weekend's live event, Black Fire Basin, will yield the Malleus Daemonarium Live Event slot item and double XP by way of compensation.

  • Account Entitlements Detailed

    The Warhammer Online team and Bioware Mythic have announced a series of 'premium' items that account holders can purchase. Included in the account entitlements are starter mounts, server transfers and a specialized training pack that allows characters to advance a full level when used. Entitlements run from $4.99-19.99 USD and can be purchased from the EA Store.

  • A Trio of PTS Events

    The Warhammer Online team has a trio of events taking place on the Public Test Server (Warpstone) this week. The first takes place on Tuesday and focuses on the Skaven RvR dungeon. The second is scheduled for Wednesday and focuses on ORvR which will continue on Friday.

  • Daemon Moon Rising

    In preparation for Halloween, the Warhammer Online servers have been updated with the Daemon Moon live event. Players will have as many as fifty tasks to complete during the event, including completing the Daemonball Rally and wearing a event-specific mask to gain reputation.

    Thanquol's Incursion is the subject of the latest in-house Bioware Mythic developer diary by Keavan Freeman on the official Warhammer Online site. Thanquol's Incursion is a Skaven themed 24v24 RvR instance. The diary covers the lore behind the instance, highlights some of the important denizens and describes the development process behind Thanquol's Incursion.

  • Open RvR Mass Playtest Event

    The Warhammer Online team has announced an ORvR mass playtest for Friday, October 15, 2010. The event will take place on the public test server. Included in the event is the debut of Tier 4 templates. All players, regardless of whether or not a level 40 character is present, will have access to the templates.

  • Getting Ready for ORvR

    Bioware Mythic developers have let it out that the Warpstone Public Test Server is now online and ready for players to go through the process required in order to play on it. The first event featuring the ORvR mechanic is scheduled for tonight, Wednesday, October 6th.

    Bioware Mythic has announced that the Warhammer Online public test server will be updated with ORvR content with players able to access and play beginning October 6th. European servers will be updated on October 8th with developers inviting players to come help test out the changes.

Carrie Gouskos has a lot to say and has more detail to reveal about the ORVR changes, the playable Skaven classes, the renown changes, and the Barber Surgeon. The Barber Surgeon is the guy who will literally take your face off and give you a new one if you have the right price.

  • Return of Legends Begins

    Bioware Mythic has announced the start of the "Return of Legends" re-enlistment campaign for all titles in the company's stable. Ultima Online, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, and Dark Age of Camelot players are being invited to return for two weeks of free play time as well as three in-game items fit for a hero's return.

  • Wild Hunt Rewards Extended

    The Warhammer Online Herald has been updated with information indicating that the Wild Hunt has been extended until September 14th. The extension is due to the disabling the Live Event Herald NPC which was causing instability issues on WAR servers. The NPC will most likely be reactivated after routine maintenance on Tuesday, September 14th.
