Endless Trial Now Live!
A recent post to the WAR Herald reveals that the Warhammer Online Endless Trial, which allows for players to play through Tier 1 for free, is now live! The launch of the new trial will automatically convert all current 10 Day trial users over to the new system, and also sees the introduction of a new streaming trial client. Similar to the World of Warcraft trial download, players will only have to download a 1GB client with the rest of the data being streamed in as it's needed.

Nate Levy Explains Major AP Bug Fix
AP regen rates were altered significantly with the launch of Patch 1.3.1 due to a complex bug, which resulted in players essentially having infinite AP. In the recently released Patch 1.3.2, the bug has been fixed and AP rates have returned to normal levels, but with players so used to being able to just spam their attacks, there have been some concerns in the community over the issue and WAR's Combat & Careers Team Lead Nate Levy addresses them in this latest dev diary.

Now Available for Macs!
The Mac version of Warhammer Online is now available! For existing subscribers of WAR, the Mac version is available free of charge. New players will be able to purchase the Mac client at Gametreeonlnie.com for $19.95 and will include a free 30 days of game time.

Armor Set Redesigns Part 2
The next batch of armor redesign comparison shots have been released. For this set, we get a look at the newly designed armor sets for the following classes: Shaman, Marauder, Chosen, Witch Elf, Archmage, White Lion, Witch Hunter, and Knight of the Blazing Sun. The images show a comparison of the armor progression for these classes from Sentinel to Invader armor sets.

Apprentices & New User Journey in 1.3.2
Version 1.3.2 of Warhammer Online is on the PTS right now and includes a number of major changes to the game. The most notable of these changes are the New User Journey and Apprentice System. The former being a total overhaul of the experience new players have with the game, while the latter allows for a City of Heroes-style sidekicking function called the "Apprenticeship" system.

Mac Version Release Date Announced
EA has announced today the release date for the Mac client of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. WAR will be arriving on Mac's on October 28th, 2009. The Mac version will be available to new subscribers by digital download at Gametreeonline, and will include 30 days of game time. The client will be priced at $19.99. Current subscribers of the game will be able to access the Mac version free of charge.

Ace of Cakes TV Appearance
Tomorrow, August 27th at 10PM Warhammer Online is going to be featured on Food Network's "Ace of Cakes" TV show where Chef Duff will create a massive Squig cake. The Squig cake was seen at the WAR Games Day Baltimore booth earlier this year.

Armor Set Redesigns!
The folks at Mythic are redesigning all the armor sets in Warhammer Online with what appears to be much higher resolution textures and improved aesthetics. In an update to the WAR Herald, we are treated to a peek of a few of the newly designed armor sets, along with comparisons to the current ones. The sets featured in this update are the Tier 4 armor sets for the Blackguard, Engineer, Squig Herder, Zealot, Bright Wizard, and Swordmaster.

Version 1.3.1 is Live!
Version 1.3.1 of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is now on live servers. The new version introduces major adjustments to the City Invasion design to make it more accessible to users, as well as improvement to the flow of the city invasion stages themselves. A significant contribution to the increased accessibility of city invasions is the decoupling of fortresses from the requirements to initiate a city siege.
