Amen. Yet another fantasy MMO. I was so looking forward to Imperator... Only becouse it was sci-fi MMO (and it looked good too!). And they stoped doing on it... Becouse of this. Would be nice if this was WH40K... But hey. They are good devs. I will wait a bit before flaming this game Every time I read your post, I die a little inside...

Mark Jacobs has hinted at this being the first of a series of Warhammer Online games. I wouldn't be surprised if we do see a 40k MMO from Mythic. |

The only way I could see 40k becoming an MMORPG would be to have it as an MMOFPS. If you took Planetside and substituted every vehicle and model for one in the 40k series, it would work pretty well. --------------------------------------------------- |

FPS suck. Personally i cant stand playing one for longer than a few days before i get bored usually in just a few hours the idea of a mmofps makes me cringe. the last FPS i managed to complete from start to finnish was wolf 3d(the orginal) everything since than is the same damn thing with better graphics. |

Could you even make a 40k game and not have 75% of the server population wanting to be Space Marines. Because if you make a 40k game Space Marines have to be in there somewhere.
I'd like a 40k mmorpg, but I just can't see it working well right now. At least Warhammer Fantasy is interesting and dark. |

1. No one is able to play as a Space Marine, I.E. Space Marines and Chaos S.M.'s are NPC's that are upper level, and hard to kill. but PC's can never actually be a SM, although they would be able to obtain Power Armor, the SM is a class that is unavailable. 2. Unlockable, such as the Jedi in SWG (original Version) Although they would have to do some tweeking to this, by way of adding special quests and such that would hint at the ways to become such a class, as well as combat leveling that would allow the SM to not be as undefeatable as they basicly SHOULD be. 3. End Game Unlockable class. In other words, if you reach the "end game level" you either do a quest, or something that would unlock the ability to create a Space Marine character. Like City of Heroes and the Peacebringer/Warshade classes.
I would prefer the first out of all of them, but they are listed in order of my preferance anyway. The last one is a grinders favorite, and the second is grindable sort of, but the knowledge is the difficult part of the unlocking. |

I would play a 40K game if Mythic did what sony does and allows you to play all mythic games for like 4 or 5 more dollars a month. The other games being Warhamer FRP or whatever its called and DAoC. I think 40K would be a good mix up from the usual fantasy game. I would still prefer the Fantasy version but thats my personal preference. However the 40k should be mostly FPS with heavy character development to give it the rpg feel including being able to do everything in a traditional RPG but the combat is all real time and not turn-based at all. I think a totally turn based 40K would suck. Just as much as real time fantasy RPG game would suck. IMO.
