Right now I am downloading the game, I have like 6GB left and it is going like 200mb/h. Is there any solution to make it go faster? Or mayby there is some alternative download source?

God damnit I am really pissed off, how official launcher can work so slowly. I resubscribed and I cant play.

That's why u shouldn't resub :P

But well....u can download the beta from a torrent then update...but good luck finding one :P

I had same problem last week - 200k/sec.

Just left it overnight and all done when I got home from work the following day.

I resubed as well, but have forgotten my  password. I called the support and there was no help to find there. ..oh and Ived tried to mail and fill out some custom service paper, nothing.

And I know that its my fault that Ive forgotten my password, but its rather strange that I cant get it back..

I gave up on the password thing. Thing is they changed usernames with the server merges making it even more difficult.

I just started the trial to check it out. Had some fun but from comments I have seen, tier 2 and 3 are awful at the moment.

How would server merges change your username? It's the same login server isn't it? The only things that moved are the characters...

T2 and t3 aren't awful. I have no idea where you're getting that from. There is always good playing during primetime, and a good amount of stuff happens during the rest. Sure, there will be a few hours of downtime when one side has a few more than the other, but it's far from dead. Every time I've logged into t2 and t3, there has been at least SOMETHING going on. I really like the revamped rvr as well.

EU -> US for instance.

And he probably got it from the OF, or simply isn't playing in 'primetime', whenever that might be for a game with people all over the world.

I believe they took over the EU market from GOA and then they had to change our usernames. Now EAs Origin account is also around there so its quite confussing. But I do hope that you guys wont spend money and then wont be able to play the game like I had to do :I

And I didnt want to reroll. I had a nice dworf at t3 that I wanted to check out... But nope..

WHen I was downloading it also was taking forever. It got about halfway there and then just zipped along to the end and I was done. Not a very clear patcher process, I admit.

The support isn't great either. When I reinstalled the game and reactivated my account, it was 2 DAYS before I could log in.

2. Days. Appalling.

Only happened after they closed down the EU side entirely, they basically moved the remainder over and I think they had to add _eur to their account names since then. The Chinese side might have had something similar when they closed but never read about that. Then again I don't think they carried any servers over from there so if anyone remained they probably had to create a new account.
