Warhammer Online has now 9 servers. 2 German, 1 French, 2 EN, 4US.

With 3 active servers and 6 low population Player base cant be over 100k? Is it even growing

Fact is only 3 of these servers are really ACTIVE. This is PvP game where you need orthers players to do PvP, it means low population servers are worthless.

In WoW low population server isnt so big problem because of Cross-server Battleground and dungeon finder. but in WAR it is, because cross-server system doesnt exist

Theres more players alone in Russian servers @ WoW.

This 2d game has more players http://www.tibia.com/abouttibia/?subtopic=screenshots&screenshot=giantspider

Runescape has 20x more players.

Runes of magic have more players

Lotro have more players

Age of conan have more players (most likely?)

and list goes on..

I really like the idea of game and graphics style, but something is keeping me away from playing it. Future doesnt seem very good, not very much new content added. People say 1.4 is boring.

Currently, if i'm not wrong, servers with high population should be at least 5 (also one of the German and the French were quite full last time i played), probably now WAR's population is around 50\80k, well, trust me, this numbers are really enough for a mmorpg, 60k*14$ = 840k\month, before Wow this numbers was great for every mmorpg, but after its unbelievable succes everyone think that an online game with less than 2 milions of players is going to die soon, but that's not right, look Darkfall, probably they have less than 20k active subscription, and they're going on without problem (i'm not a DF fan^^).

So, my advice? Try the WAR's endless trial, if you like it, buy it without regrets ;)Currently, if i'm not wrong, servers with high population should be at least 5 (also one of the German and the French were quite full last time i played), probably now WAR's population is around 50\80k, well, trust me, this numbers are really enough for a mmorpg, 60k*14$ = 840k\month, before Wow this numbers was great for every mmorpg, but after its unbelievable succes everyone think that an online game with less than 2 milions of players is going to die soon, but that's not right, look Darkfall, probably they have less than 20k active subscription, and they're going on without problem (i'm not a DF fan^^).

Gorfang was semi-busy at times but lately seems to be dying.

I think it is only downhil for War from here forward, hope they merge more soon because there is no one around to fight.  Well or even better hope something new is out soon so I can talk my friends into LEAVING WAR finally, lol.

Starting war now doesnt seem very encouraging. My friend keeps telling me to quit WoW and start warhammer.

But idd, going from 12 million player game that is just growing to Warhammer with 50-80subs doesnt feel good

Will you buy a Prius only because Ferrari are less?

That's because you always play with 12 milions of player around you right?

Not that you play in a server with, don't know, 5k? Try Badlands server, probably is fuller than the average of wow's servers.

But, if you play wow and you like PvE, war is PvP\RvR, so, don't think you will like it either.

So why don't you play on Karak Azgal o Norn? The've got the same pop of Badlands.

@sungodra

Currently thanks to 1.4 there is an increment to the population

Here some numbers, not the usual, "my friends quit! So everyone have quit! Trust me 1111!!!!"

Active Rank 40 Net Gain/Loss for the Period:

    RR+1% + Returning R40 + New R40 - Prior Period = Net +/-

All Servers

Destruction 3,999 (75%) + 1,006 (19%) + 339 (6%) - 5,122 = +222 (+4% gain)
  Order 3,781 (73%) + 1,055 (20%) + 330 (6%) - 4,859 = +307 (+6% gain)
  Total 7,780 (74%) + 2,061 (20%) + 669 (6%) - 9,981 = +529 (+5% gain)

Btw, currently i'm not even playing war (BP Beta and Bloody Good Time ftw^^).

I played on Badlands, and the number of people who quit a monthish after 1.4 was amazing.

Many did go back to WoW, but a lot quit because the big "improvements" were not what they wanted.  Any of the decent order groups we fought had quit or gone to wow, which caused my small group of six to break up.  Of course, getting into a certain big MMO beta didn't help my playtime in War either <.<.

The population def went down.  I noticed a number of people selling their accounts lately too.  Big names. Names of good PvPers too.
