WAR is alot better than at launch. I'm not sure if that's because you can T4 now without everyone getting kicked out, since the number of players is no where near when the game was launched. I still play DAoC (I know I shouldn't compare the two), alot more.

Thanks for spreading lies and disinformation because you do not like EA, makes these forums so much better when people just make stuff up. After all we all know when Mythic started making Warhammer online they were already part of EA, and Mark Jacobs never approached them because he need access to additional funds. Oh wait that’s right there is such a thing as Google and news reports that makes the “EA was involved the entire time” a complete and utter lie. Or is it possible that this statement shows people have the memory of an ant, and just picture things how they want to remember them.
Well anyway, let’s get to the facts of the matter: #1 Mythic acquired the license for Warhammer fantasy on May 18, 2005 and was originally scheduled to launch in 2007. #2 EA buys Mythic on June 20, 2006 and then launch gets delayed two times till late 2008. Well let’s see May 18, 2005 to June 20, 2006 = 1 year, 1 month, and 2 days. So roughly 397 days Mythic was developing Warhammer online as just Mythic Entertainment. Here is links to help you get your memory back to reality. Mythic acquires license and sets launch date for 2007. Link 1 Link 2 EA buys Mythic and the games release date gets pushed back two times. Link1 Link2 Link3 Link4
You are so right they were involved the whole entire time, for the love of all that is good and holy stop making stuff up!!!!!!!!!!!
Edited for reconsideration:
I have decided to reconsider my position and I am going to join the club and start making stuff up. EA was not only involved in the making of Warhammer online the entire time, they also are responsible for killing off the dinosaurs, sinking the titanic, killing Abraham Lincoln, and causing China and Vietnam to become communist. While Blizzard is responsible for world peace, the end of mass hunger, and the re-enlighten of mankind to a perfect being, we should all thank blizzard for being so much better then EA. Oh and on a personal note I am 6 foot 8, I am 300 lbs of pure muscle, oh and I wrestle bulls because I cannot find another male that is my equal. Don't you love just making stuff up on the internet.

Originally posted by sevitoth Try ffxiv, STO or Aion. Surprisingly, there's some decent PVE by recent standards in WAR. It's just that nobody does it because the PVP is so much fun. But there's a dungeon every tier, tons of open public quests, tons of quest chains, and some of the basic quests are pretty cool if you read the stories. Also, the LOTD mini-expansion was basically completely PVE oriented with a whole bunch more PQs and dungeons. Oh and just so people know, MMOluva is a troll of the highest order but I'm glad he's enjoying a game you can actually PVP in from the get go instead of waiting 4 months to be competative. Now, if they could just add a tier 5 to SCs, I won't feel like I'm going through a grind ala Darkfall until I hit RR 80. It's still not as bad as darkfall because at least your PVPing to progress starting at tier 4 rr40, but it's dissapointing how suddenly you reach level cap and you're less effective in fights than you've ever been, and will be for at least a month. |

WAR is good for what it is. A casual pvp experience. The entire game is designed to be picked up and played with very little time. Its very good in short bursts, Problem is most of us invest more time than your average casual and WAR falls flat on its ass once you spend more than a few hours a week playing. Try to make a real time investment in the game and you will find yourself bored of the same old, same old and move on. |

I read this post on Saturday morning thinking to myself that this guy is off his rocker. But I was board and had a free 14 day return offer; so I resubbed since I’m not losing anything. I log in to find out that Praag, the server I played on was now defunct and that I’m not able to transfer my toons to Badlands; this was a bit disappointing. Anyway, I decided to level a new toon, a Knight of the Blazing Sun (Order) from scratch. I did quests from levels 1 through 6 and have been RVRing since then. I’m not sure about the higher tiers, but as the OP stated, the RVR is jumping at least in Tier 1, I just hit level 16 so I’m not too sure about Tier 2 yet. But, as for Tier 1, I was able to get into scenarios or just open field RVR anytime I wanted to; period. My only issue with this server is that it seems like Order is badly outnumbered. Other than that, I’m actually having fun playing while my EVE toons are AFK leveling! LOL… |

Originally posted by bmoscato Destro has a slight population advantage, but it's actually better to play as a slight underdog. You'll get SCs when you want them and have AAO most of the time. Plus I swear destro afks more in t4 than order and I've seen Order push us out while defending their keep WHILE having AAO. |

Tier 2 was nothing to write home about. It seems like most of the open world RVR happens on the Order side with a small percentage going on in Dwarf lands. Scenarios seem to be few and far between compared to Tier 1, I spend most of my time killing rats and getting over run by Destruction. I’m assuming that T1 is hopping due to the Endless Trial. I’m hoping that T4 is has more of a population than both T2 and T3 seem to have. The population can also be skewed due to the holidays, I know I don’t have as much time to play as I would during the rest of the year. |

Originally posted by bmoscato Tier 2 was nothing to write home about for me as Destro either. I found tier 3 to be a bit better actually, in that people seemed to be doing some RVR. Tier 4 is where all the action is. The game is 2 years old and with the latest level increase, most people are playing their old mains rather than alts. |
