...do you think WAR will see a rise in subs as players return from (another?) sinking ship? Or do you think players will try to forget about both games and are looking for the Next Big Thing(tm)?

everyone is just bouncing around from games they loved to games they hope they will love. Everyone seems to be playing this repetitive bounce around game

Who says things are looking grim for Aion?

The game has been out exactly a month. Not even NCSoft knows how it's going yet.

Actually the game has been out about a year.  I'm sure NCSoft has a good idea how well the game is doing.

I know exactly what you mean because me and my friends have been doing this ever since we got tired of WoW prior to TBC (been bouncing back there too).

What would the next big thing be, as faction-based PvP goes? Global Agenda?

Not in this market it hasn't. Concrete numbers indicating the potential lifespan for new MMOs aren't reported to the suits this soon because they fluctuate way too often this early on to form anything that even looks like an educated guess.

Anyone saying that Aion is going to die, or "is looking grim" based on *any* info they have now is a fool. Same goes for people saying it'll be the greatest thing ever, based on current info.

No one knows anything yet, and it's too soon so start any kind of logical speculation.

Not sure how Aion will pan out ultimately, but I never even made it a month in WAR due to the bugs and clunky interface.

Aion is smooth and plays well. I am with holding judgment until I hit the abyss, where I understand the game changes considerably. Reports I have heard is taht it is the best PvP out there at the moment.

Ahh, you meant just in the Western market.  I'm sure now that the first month of free play is coming to an end, and people are either renewing or canceling their accounts, NCSoft west has a fairly good idea where the game stands.  That's logical speculation.

Funny... WAR is done, it"s just dying slowly. Aion might crash too, but it's way too soon to know. And even if all the newly released mmo would crash tomorrow most players would either return to WoW/EQ/EvE or move to the next big thing.

WAR had over 60 servers, Capital cities were sieged so often at one point they had to introduce a timer on fort to reduce city sieges. And now there is so little people on the servers that they had to remove the forts so people siege the city instead of closing the remaining 6 NA servers into 1 or 2.

Mythic has already, dug their grave with Warhammer. It's quite possible people will be hopping back. But they will quickly be reminded why they left in the first place. Mythic hasn't gone to great leap's and bound's to improve this game. The performance issue has been worked on, a good deal. But there's to many design flaw's they can't do anything about. Certain aspect's of the game will continue to suffer with Mythic behind the wheel.

What Warhammer is and worth now, it's how it will be for the rest of it's day's. Theres no comeback story for it, it will continue to pass along quitely as that game that could've been something.

What I'm hearing (I don't play AIon) is that the fortress sieges aren't so smooth.

If PvP end game isn't smooth and fun, a LOT of players are going to abandon that game in a hurry.

I'am just counting down the days till a fresh wave of people start leaving WAR due to the seiges, because I know most of my guild all there doing now is logging in seeing Altdorf been seiged for the 1000th time and then logging off bored stiff.

Aion looking grim? The servers are full of ppl and the first 30 days are already gone.... lol

This one is dead, and no use in trying to make ppl believe it will suddenly come to life because in your head "things are looking grim for Aion"... even because Aion RvR is 1000000000 times better than in WAR, and ive been there, if anyone wants to believe what im saying fine, if they dont fine either way, we are all having a blast in huge RvR battles, and you are here making things up and trying to get ppl to your already empty servers.

For those you want to see it for yourselves, check Aion out, it's a great PvP experience.

Certainly is not - and I'm not subbed to either anymore.

Aion will dwindle just like WAR did after release. Tons of people have already quit. Now it will just slowly, but steadily decline.

Hahaha - what's your point? Tons of people have unsubbed after the free month ran out whether you choose to believe it or not.

I never said it was going to be abandoned over night - but you chose  to ignore that fact. And like I said - I am subbed to neither game - but have played WAR previously as well as Aion and went ahead and unsubbed. Work on the reading comp.

And I got a good "lol" from you posting the server capacity - the game can change that number to their liking anytime they want.
