His post is an opinion and all opinions are valid, but that doesn't mean anything. Anyone can say a game sucks and why they think that, but providing actual concrete proof to back up those accusations is an entirely different story. Fanboy or Hater, doesn't matter, neither sides opinion matters unless they know what they're talking about.

Mark Jacobs got mythic to where they are today, there is no way they are going to fire him, just because you dont like the game LOL.

Fire Jacobs and let "Motormouth" keep his job?

But the stocks are plummeting because all stocks are, 30% is a bit more than the market but it is no disaster.

It is way to early to be sure about anything, if WAR drop down to the numbers AoC have in a few months then Jakobs will have to go and while that is a possibility it might turn as well... Anything can happen and it is very common with new games that a big % of those who tries it quits fast.

Just relax a bit and we start to worry for the game in a few months or when the sub numbers hit 250K, no point in worrying for things that might not happen.... Hopefully the numbers turn or at least stabilise soon.

well you shown clearly that you are fanboy.. what kinda proof you want..

go play on low/medium realms.. its pain, dead, and frustrating.

500/500 1000/1000  ( noone ever prove server holds more ? ) caps are too low even for high/full realm

exp bonus isnt solution.  more ppl are leaving game than joining..

in a company i work.. we managed to transfer our old database to our new software.. now if you saying that merging 2 servers ( same software ) in multi billion programing specialist company is too hard..

or that they are just too lazy.. i have no words..

i could never figure out why mmo companies do merge as last resort.. etc aoc.. i did quit before realms got dead.. but i heard merge was too late.. ( well new boss.. merge was fast for him.. )

wow.. game which never ? ( might be wrong ) merged low pop servers.. even after thousands of posts in forums..

now warhammer..

you might not earn those 2k a month back for server you aint using.. as you already probably have contract running..

but you atleast will make your suscribers happy. one that pay your wage..

if you think 20% exp for a week is a lot.. your mistaken. and if that exp doesnt effect bonuses as quest rewards.. sc wins.. its useless..

just my view.. i already left game.. population beying one of reason.. i saw no future for game which runs of this kinda code/servers capabilities.. i like when whole server knows me.. but i prefer that server is bigger than i can count on my fingers..

And the moral of this topic is; Dont roll on an underpopulated server especialy in a PVP game, kids.

It's safe to say from the number of underpopulated realms that the public has judged the game and found it lacking.  WAR tried to walk the line between being similar enough to WoW to cut into its market and being different enough from WoW to give people a reason for playing.   In too many ways, WAR is the inferior product to WoW.  Two faction RvR games are just icky too.

LOL....you dislike it so it's the bane of MMORPGs.

If you don't like it, so be it. I have no ill will toward you for it....I know that people have different expectations and different likes/dislikes.

I liked WoW but it got old very quickly for me. Same with EQII and VG and TR. I haven't been this happy with an MMORPG since the early days of SWG.

I, for one, love the game and am sticking with it. I wish you the best of luck and fun in whatever game you decide to stick with.

2 faction RVR games are icky. Huh, last time I checked WOW was 2 factions. #1 selling mmo as well. The public has judged? Oh you mean angry forum people, yeah cause they speak for everyone (Most people that like the game stay away from the forum cause of crap people say). Inferior......hmmmm intersting statement to a game JUST RELEASED.

Your post holds no merit. Move along.

Enjoy : )

They should merge ALL the servers into one, then the population issue would end

Hey, thanks for the personal insult. Nice to know you're not a keyboard warrior (seriously... grow up).

And yeah, you're right. MMORPG's that have too much freedom of choice, huge open virtual worlds and mature communities are BAD. Damn you Ultima Online and Star Wars Galaxies (pre-CU).

I bet you love pop-music. It's shallow crap - but who cares? It's what the crowd (moo) is into. Yay! Now you fit in. You've finally made it son.

MMORPG's are DEAD.

Mark Jacobs is a corporate TOOL that bragged about having "bags of money thrown" at him. EA are the ones that dictated to him how this game was to be made. It is a dumbed down version of DAoC designed to appeal to the WoW crowd. He did not sit down and say "I'm going to create the game I've always wanted."  He created a game that his corporate masters TOLD him to create. Some of you kids are very naive.

I waited a long time for W.A.R to come out. I thought that the open beta show promise, but was a little perplexed with missing four classes (two of which I was really looking forward to) and the utter lack of trade skills- not to mention how they worked. Granted, I bitched about WoW's trade skills- until I played LOTRO- and the way the skills work in W.A.R. I have become a fan of the WoW trade skills again. *sigh*

I was also looking forward to no having to grind. I figured that between PVE, PQs, and RvR, I would have to do little to no grinding. That would be true, if I could ever get into an RvR scenario. I have seen the tier 2 scenario three times since I became level 21, and my tier three guildees have never seen the tier three scenario- even after 30 hours of waiting in queues. After completing upto chap 10 in Chaos, I have also done chap 8-10 in Greenskins, and 8-10 in Dark Elves, and I am STILL level 21. After quitting LOTRO because I spent most of that game farming Yetis for the bonus, I find myself in WAR, once again, farming fucking Yetis because the kill collector gives experience for them

The result of all this is that my already low population server, KIslev, is getting lower. The Guild Master of my guild cleaned out 60 players who had not logged on in over two weeks, which is pretty sad for a game that has been around for only three weeks. I believe we will be clearing out more as there are about 50 people who have not logged on in the past week. People are fleeing this game left and right, which cuts down on the available RvR, which destroys the point, and fun, of the game. When I called customer service to see if I could transfer my toons to a higher population server, I was told that "Was not possible" and that they were "looking for ways to remedy the situation".

I have a remedy: fire Mark Jacobs.

That's right. Fire the incompetent general manager and vice president of Mythic Entertainment who allowed the release an unfinished game, late, with serious flaws and irritating features (20 second send mail delay?) I'm sure that the shareholders have noticed the 30% DROP in stock value since the release of W.A.R. and the fact that the servers are laggy, even with low population, is unacceptable. The higher population servers have a too low of a cap- so the only people who can play are those who don't have school or a job.

Contact EA. Tell them what is going on, and demand accountability. Hold the man who was responsible for this utter debacle accountable and fire Mark Jacobs.

Lets see where have i seen this type of post before......thats right Age of Conan forums.

Well my gaming experience is just ruined with a 20 second delay in mail being sent.

The stock went down?

Paid attention to the news lately?

Your ignorant arrogance and megalomania is frightening.

Are you working in a creative field as a creative manager of anything costing a lot of other peoples' money? I am and I believe I can pretty much understand where MBJ stands with his product. In addition I really don't think you ever gave the game a speck of a chance even if you ever did play it which I sincerely doubt. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about whatsoever which doesn't preclude you from insulting other people who are much more knowledegeable and experienced than you are as if it were your god given right. You disgust me.

OP you hit right on the money. If you look at the server pops they are all medium to low except like 2- 3 servers that have high high. No ones playing this game anymore FANBOIS they might aswell merge servers and raise the pop cap because WOTLK is going to take everyone who is just right now playing to play somthing.

Yeah????

Last weekend at the prime time there were 5 servers that were Low/Low.  Everything else was Med/Med or higher.

Your attitude screams elitest "hardcore" mmo fan. You're one of those people who have an excessive amount of free time to grind away at MMO's that are more "hardcore" (meaning time consuming), and feel that that makes you somehow better than everyone else.

I'm sorry that you don't have real world responsibilities, or more honestly I'm sorry that your life doesn't add up to more than a video game, but most of us DO have better things we can be doing.

So go ahead and flame me or write your bullshit condescending 3 word replies like the one above, but  just know that people can like other things. I'm sure SWG was awesome (I never got around to trying it pre-cu), and I'll never speak an ill word towards it, but you need to relax.

You apparently think MMORPG's should grant you a no grind game, which will never happen. RPG's that are level based atleast will have to have some grind to them. Do you just expect to be granted levels because you look cool? Or because you did some special emote? If you don't want a grind game, dont play rpgs. I bet you can't name one MMORPG that doesn't have grind. If you can, i will download it and prove you wrong.

do you even know how to read? i said all the rest were medium to low meaning some were medium and some were low. hence med to low. And if you play on a server that is med and or low you will be in a scenerio queue for a long ass time seeing as im always in one for a long ass time before i actually get into a game.

so i love it when people try to rebuttle thinking they know what they are talking about

Those 60 players that left your guild were smart and rerolled on a high population server.

I don't even play the game yet and I know to roll on the highest pop server this game has once my blackguard is released.
