I just read WAR has taken out 4 of the 6 capital cities out of the game, and I felt, wow, am I the only one who found this a mayor setback? I mean, I am not in beta, but in every video and podcast they always emphasized that the city siege and conquest was the final goal, the highlight of all the RVR combat, and how especially always two races are in opposition. Now how can they lead it to a climactic war, when FOUR of SIX cities are goners? I dunno, but that sounds like a major crippling of the game to me. :/

Not to speak of the four classes. I though they sounded cool. Now without Knights, who will be tank among order? Won't the missing classes rip a hole into the entire system??

Coming so close to the launch it doesnt feel like any strategic decision, but once more to launch another incomplete game, like Conan, like Vanguard like so many others with more and more features coming "some later time". And being focussed on RVR Warhammer already was - well let's say "thinner" in other non combat areas. (Crafting, Itemization asf.)

Hasty indeed, take the time to research what has happened since that was announced, and you'll discover its not anywhere near as bad as it would seem.

Mark Jacobs has been personally making posts on WA and VN to help players understand why this needed to be done, and that the cities will eventually all make it in, the classes are undecided at this point though.

Thats still 20 careers, two cap cities and plenty of keeps and fortresses to siege at release, coupled with the existing pve content and other features it will be more than enough to tide even the most hardcore gamer over until the cities all make it in.

oooo it was almost good, till you mentioned that order wouldn't have a tank, thats what got you.

but yeah, this thread is what.. 2 weeks late? or some where around there.

I'm currently in beta, and have been for a little while now, and I see no problem with the cities being delayed.

Also both factions still have 2 tanks and 2 melee dps each so it's not that big of a loss. I think people get confused thinking that each race is a faction. In addition, the two races that are missing tanks are the two races that coincidentally have the only melee healers for the realm.

There is still tons of RvR content. Tier 4 hasn't been touched which is where most of the RvR action will be taking place at endgame. So I think the game will do just fine even with these cuts/delays.

And there you go again, looking at these types of threads.  Feeding the trolls.

If you stop replying, they will get pushed to the bottom and be outta here.  Recently there were a few that had to be locked because it got ridiculous.

Stop replying, everyone is just rehashing the old stuff...I seriously doubt any of them really want to do anything more than see their thread end up with 1,000 views because it was so stupid everyone had to post and tell them just how stupid it was and how stupid they are.

We all know the troll posts when we read them.  I'd like to see real posts, those have been lacking lately.

Well, first I dont read news DAILY, so it was new to me.

Second, I am not in beta, but as I understood, it seemed like city conquest was the culmination of the RVR battle. Since when is any concern of a poster a trolling, hello?? I mean, hey, I just wrote some concern, and I have an entire list of bashers and flamers on a simple, personal concern?? If THAT is the Warhammer community I know why they make no official forums! *shakes head*

Did this forum degenerate so much that we must call each other fanbois and troller in EVERY single thread now?

In all fairness, you did kinda post without having any idea what you were talking about.

Not reading the news daily is fine and all, but if you are going to come onto the forums and post about something that is two weeks old, you might want to just scan around and see whats been going on first so that you have enough information to make an informed judgement.

Not at all. Your post was entirely polite and reasonable. When you say you are in beta and dont see at as such a cut, thats fine. I just dont make forum reading a lifetime task, I scan the first 2 or 3 pages topics. But I guess just giving a friendly answer is out of the question for most others here. I am entirely honest: War isnt high on my list, but I like a lot of things I heard, and this was of some concern to me, because at least to me cutting away 66% of the existing capital cities does sound... severe.

Now I dislike WOW like anyone, but must we really be so blind in our WOW-hate that we blindly defend EVERYTHING in WAR now?

Am I only allowed to write my recent concern after hours of professional forum digging and 24/7 following what others said? doh

I think the so called "rude" people don't care that you don't spend your life reading forums and news, however its the fact that you are so uniformed and are making pretty harsh assumptions about a game you obviously don't know anything about.
 

Also, I like it how you mention AoC and Vanguard being "incomplete" and they are tanking badly.  Yet you fail to mention EQ, UO, WoW, and just about every other MMO that has come out who have made major cuts a month or two before launch and they seemed to have done good.
