Simple question, how big is the world? It's handmade so it has to range somewhere in the World of Warcraft league. Are there as many zones?

And question two, will the zones be levelbound, like in other games (EQ, EQ2, WoW, you name it) where "the barren wasteland of demonic destruction" is always for level 80+ and "the happy hills of hollyland" is always level 0-10?

And question three, will the zones be packed with grindmobs? Like in any other game, where every 30 feet one level 13 lion roams on his boring, lonely path... and you start a train whereever you go?

1. it's pretty damn big

2. There are 4 different tiers, tier 1 is for 1-10...tier 2 is for 10-20, so on and so forth.

3. dunno. Have to wait until the NDA drops and ask.

possibility but who knows until they release any concrete info related to this. but i reckon its on par with WoW pre BC. I personally dont like the game feels too much like WOW 1.5 with emphasis on RVR PVP

Every race have 1 zone for each tier... the zones are pretty large... even the starter zones are full of WAR :)

*facepalm*

I'm not even sure I want to explain things to people who don't take the time to look at the game and then compare it to WoW. Go read up on WAR. Do some research.

Enormous

Imagine you're one of the GW minis. Now imagine that you're in a multi-story mall. Every store is like a place you'll be visiting in the game. The sporting goods store will be the dwarf's area. The bookstore is Altdorf. Spencer's would be...well, slaanesh is going to explain that one to ya.

But, to repeat myself....enormous.

From what I read and seen at the shows and videos. There are about 9 zones for each race, then the Choas and Empire Cities. Each zone has a level range, but you can go to any zone you want and see what happens. From Videos and Show play there are "grind" mops but they belong there. You will not find a lion roaming around a city. You wonder throught a woods you will see some animals and maybe sprites and such. Might even stumble upon a PQ that has a reason for the mobs to be there beyound the fact they live their.

Sounds pretty concrete to me, so 4 zones for every race is huge. I'm asking because there actually ARE games that were too small for my taste, not in terms of actual landsize, more like "dude, i've seen this mesh in green, black, yellow and blue in the last 4 zones"...

WoW - hate or love it - had some pretty atmospheric zones right from the start that really delievered a distinct uniqueness. I personally love the feeling of travelling and actually going though a cultural change while doing this. So if I'm in an assault on a far away outpost of the good guys, heck, then I want to have the feeling to be far away from home... ;)

Some guy put these together, though I don't know if they have been updated in a while.  He was attempting to link all the zone maps from the  Warhammer Online website together.

I bet that the whole Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning world is less than five or six square miles in size.
