Europe had more CEs than NA had? Over half the beta apps for war are from europe with the us and the other parts of the world making up the rest.War has its biggest following in europe just like DAOC had.

Warhammer comes from the UK and has been massive in Europe for the last 25 years. WHA is made up of more Europeans than Americans as well.

A lot of people in the us especially younger people had never even heard of  Warhammer until mythic stated that they intend to make a mmorpg based on that title. Ask many  Americans who follow war who games workshop are and they wont be able to tell you? ask the same people who blizzard are and warcraft and they can tell you everything.

If you notice in the game all the voice overs are British speaking meaning UK British. I know where they`re are some CE left in the uk because i went and bought another one last week even though i had mine from the first few day they announced them.

That is correct - it depends on the merchant. Most merchants are out, and not actually selling the CE with keys anymore.

That doesn't sound right.  IThey can create keys with a wave of a hand. But the actual CE product has to be manufactured. So them selling CE copies and not giving out Beta keys would be dumb.

It is part and parcel, though. Yes, Mythic could easily press a button and generate a bazillion keys. However, that was not the deal. The deal was that, in North America, there were 60,000 CE pre-orders, for 60,000 CE copies, and only those pre-orders got the keys.

We did have something like 3-4 months to get a copy, and it was announced many times, on the web site, in newsletters, etc. I cannot feel too badly for people who are missing out.

Oh, and as for people waiting on keys, I advise trying to get them now. Also, and this is just me, I only ever order from places that have an automated, accountable system for getting me my keys. This means a place like Amazon, the EA Store, etc. Usually the online retailers are the best for pre-order packages because they have to have a flawless, automated system of delivery by the nature of their distribution model. I do not trust the ill-informed fools at brick-and-mortar stores to know what is going on and make sure I get my stuff

You think some kid making minimum wage who takes your pre-order really cares if you get screwed or not?

1. I ordered it from EA

2. quote from WAR's site

"Only 60,000 units of the Collector's Edition will be available in North America so don't miss out. Pre-order your copy today! "

This means if they are still taking orders they have not sold all 60,000 copies of the game.  If they did that is fraud.  If they did oversell their 60,000 they just make more when they ship them out.  But the $80.00 they took was to include the beta keys as well.

3. If you bought them at stores and you didn't leave that store with a beta key then thats their fault cause it says right on the site if you buy in-store you get a card or preorder box with your key.

He indicated he ordered it, not that he purchased it. They can still contact him (even after a legit purchase and not just an order), and claim to be out, be sorry, and give him a refund or credit.

He doesn't actually have a bonafied CE w/codes until the codes are in his hands, and his CE reserved at the merchant's end.

Never assume anything with online merchants..

We talking about a mythical poster?  No one said they didn't get there keys when they pre order online.

One guy said he ordered it in store and never got a key. Which I already said was dumb because it says right on the site you get your key when you make the purchase.  If that store didn't have a key card or pre order box then they shouldn't have taken his money. But again that's his fault.

However , I ordered yesterday from EA store.  It seems like people got there keys couple days later.  I was just wondering if they would jip me on the beta key.  If they did that would be F-ed up because EA could easily generate a beta key, then later on manufacture extra CE boxes.

Not sure where you got "mythical poster" from, he clearly stated that he ordered (ie, placed a request online with a merchant, and gave payment info), but that he doesn't have keys yet. He never stated he "didn't get them", or was "refused the purchase" due to no stock. He doesn't have confirmation from the merchant yet, period.

The actual chances of getting a CE reservation after an online order (along with it's set of codes) right now, is slim and none. There are *very* few merchants left with copies, and they could turn on a dime and start telling people who place orders: "Sorry, we no longer have that in stock. We will refund your money on order #xxxxx".

I pretty much spot-on predicted the date they would be completely out like.. a month ago, when I indicated mid-to-end-July. I do hope that anyone who has placed an order gets theirs, as there is nothing more disappointing than getting hyped up only to crash when you don't get your order fulfilled.

Wow, you got all that from that one sentenced he posted. He didn't say when, where or how he purchased it.  He referenced my previous post about just getting the pre order and asking if I too should worry about getting the beta key.

My whole point was that it would be jacked up IF EA is still selling from their OWN EASTORE and not giving out beta keys. Nowhere on the link to the the pormotion does it say "out of stock" or "promotion done".

AGAIN, I know technically EA could next week email me and say sorry we oversold pre-orders, here's your money back.  But why would they if they could just at least generate beta keys for people who over ordered. I know its not about the number of beta keys sent out because they are still going to give more open beta keys to newsletter subs.

AND AGAIN, I think people who ordered in store should kick themselves for NOT leaving that store with their keys like they are suppose to.

The other day i ordered my CE from Overstock.com. It wasn't  to long ago but i have not been told by them about the keys. Warhammer said that it could take up to a week for them to send the the codes. But i just wanted to know if Overstock.com will give me the keys.
