Google "MMORPGMaker" if you want to make your own MMORPG.

Here's why I don't care about the missing capital cities, or classes.

The classes are easy. I cannot get attached to a class, unless I play it. I am not going to read a description of a class, and then decide that's the class for me, and then get upset it's gone when I've never played it before. I'm going to have to get hands on with a class, before I decide that's the one I make as my main, so the fact that classes are gone that I've never played is irrelevant to me.

I"m also glad they are gone now, before I get attached to one, and then find out it's gimped. I played the Blademaster for while in DAoC, and found it it was a crap class. They fiddled with it, but it still sucked.

Pretty much the same goes for capital cities. It's RvR. I"ve never fought in RvR with CApital cities before, so how do I know that two is worse than 6 or vice a versa? I have no idea,. so I don't miss the extra 4 capital cities.

And, it will make for nice additional content down the road, if they do decide to add more capital cities.

I don't know how MMORPG devs manage to do this, but they always bite off more than they can chew. They should really scale down their intitial game release designs to something that's realistic given the time frame and budget for development.

It's always, we're going to a new galaxy! Ok, we can't quite make it to a new galaxy, but we're going to a new star system! Ok, we can't quite make it to a new star system, but we're going to Mars! Uh, we just figured out we can't quite make it to mars, so we're going to make a pit stop at the moon. But after we get a big Gulp at the moon, we're going to mars!

Live and Learn.. Then Die and forget it all.

What worries me about these changes is this game was designed with these classes and cities, now you take them out, I just dont see how this will not affect the overall game.

If they knew these items were not working out why wait this late to pull them? I am far from giving up hope but I must say that this does bother me.

As long as your enjoying the game and having fun, then thats all that matters.

I''m tired of lurking.

I do care about this.  I think it's going to make a better game at release.  This and any other MMO have 3 days to get my interest or I'm off to the next one.

Way to go Devs.

They're working on adding atleast twice as much content to the 2 cities that will remain, so that all races will somewhat feel at-home. Needless to say, you can't have a faction without the races that make it

MMORPGs are great to look forward to after a hard day of work, but heaven is the ultimate reward for those who live Christ-like.

agree, if two cities can work and will be fun, than it should be a blast when they bring the rest online.  Main thing is it has to be fun.

McCain for President

I don't care either, especially after reading their FAQ re: the issue.  I think it was a good call.  I predicted some cuts in the classes considering I thought they were starting with way too many for release.  In fact, I assumed there would be more classes cut than there were.  I think it will make for a more competetive based game 10 range and 10 close classes.  Of course it is disheartening if you were going to roll one of the classes that got cut, but I'm sure you will be able to find another class that you'll find enjoyable if you give it a chance!

All good and dandy but you are looking only at the personal level. I guess there is no bad in that and I too would not care about the classes just for my own cause my classes are still in.

But you have to look at the big picture here. Races do not have a tank now. What this mean? Many wanted to make racial guilds for WAR, now if you do a human or dark elf racial guild, you do not have TANKS, meaning no pve content for ya and maybe gimped in pvp too.

Cities? YOU might not know what it is to have 6 or 2 but the DEVS should. the game was designed to work with 6 and now, just mere months from release there is a cardinal change with only 2 cities.

They even talk to rotate them and never go back to the 6 cities at the same time project.

Even if it does not affect YOU, these things make you think there is more than meets the eye here.

But OMG when I'm trying to sack a city I'm going to be so pissed and bummed that the other city isnt there!

seriously though I think the people these changes will hurt the most are the RP'ers that already have backstory written for the class and cities. Other than that, this is just a reason for people to start trashing something they havent played.

People also seem to fail to remember that the devs have a couple more months if not longer to find a way to impliment things to adress these changes. Saying "oh the balance is so screwed now" is just a guess.
