Sorry, that is a FLAT OUT LIE. the Warhammer closed beta was in such bad shape 3-4 months ago that many of the closed beta testers left and uninstalled the client because of mythics unability to listen to the testers and  overall bad support. I was one of the many who left in disgust. Why exactly do you think they extended their release.. again?

What does 3-4 months ago have to do with now? and you admit you havent played the game for 3-4 months and yet still claim to know the current state of the game. How can you know that is so if you havent played it in so long?

AoC will do very well.....for the people with the right hardware configuration. That is really what will prevent it from being a commercial success.

What's going to create issues for MMO fans who can run it....its a bit linear up front, world doesn't feel very open up front. I don't know if that changes later on but it feels a lot like a single player RPG in the beginning. IMHO.

You dont need to know the current state of affairs to have a soured opinion about something. If this person left with a bad impression of Mythic, then they arent as likely to go back and try it out again.

First impressions are everything.

His comment implied he knew the current state of the WAR client and how it compared to the current state of the AoC client, despite his own admittence he hasn't played the WAR beta for around 4 months. It doesn't matter what his first impression was, or whether or not it was soured. Its irrelevent. Not just because his impressions are opinion (4 months old opinion), but also because when you say words like FLAT OUT LIE that implies something factual. Which is impossible because he doesn't have the facts, so how could it be a flat out lie?

 You said Warhammer beta will be better then Age of conan Release, I said that was a lie and I told you why it was. Follow me so far? good. Now When I left warhammer beta they took down the beta, as in no one was playing it. They were getting ready for the "next" stage of beta. I never said I hated warhammer or I would never play it, but I did say their beta was in shambles and they were running out of time, just like all mmorpgs end up doing at some point in development.

I really hope you understand that, if not I will not be able to help you. Next time you try to proclaim something, especially something like warhammer beta>aoc release, you really need to get your facts straight. Maybe the random children here will buy into your garbage but anyone who actually follows warhammer and age of conan have an idea of how both are really doing.

I agree with the whole issue with hardware. It is a very difficult task, and the average person who plays mmo's has no idea how to configure or even attempt to tweak their system to get it to work with age of conan. So what were left with is everyone complaining about how age of conan is so horrible, but the fact is a lot of the issues people are having is solvable through small tweaks and driver updates.

 As for the lack of a open world and single player feeling, I agree also. It feels very much like a singleplayer experience in the 1-20 range. From what funcom has said though, they wanted to go for a more linear and simplistic route for the "tutorial" which is essentially the 1-20 island. I can't really say much because of the NDA, but  the world does indeed open up a lot once you get out of the 1-20 tutorial, and it definitely has a mmo feel to it.

In beta and yes i can assure you it s in better shape then AOC is now. Take it for what it s worth but it is.

hahaha this post is so dumb the OP has got to be no older than 12. troll. whats with the whole AOC vs. WAR thing going on i dont get it. Both games are gonna be successful, other than WoW what big mmos out there do they have to compete with .....not much. So its a good chance both these games are gonna be successful. I for one prefer AOC over WAR because its a change of pace after how long i played WoW.  im sure war wil be pretty cool too it just seems to similar to a wow setting

Sorry, but I wasn't posting to the op, If I was I would of qouted him. as for my failing as a beta tester? No, I emailed mythic, told them of my situation and asked to be removed from the beta. I'm sure someone else who was actually willing to take their abuse  gobbled up my spot. It's hard testing for a company who doesn't like help from their own testers, but most mmo companies are like that, so it's hard to really complain about it I guess.

 And for the record, I don't care if you believe me or not, I just don't like when someone spews out how horrible something is when in fact it's sometimes just the opposite.  I also have a tendancy to come off rather coldhearted and rude, that's just how I type I guess.

You said I posted something I clearly didn't, I really don't know what more I can say on that. As for the rest, I'm sorry you felt you werent being listened to, I'm sure you are very important and your opinion is worth more than the other testers, and they are obligated to always follow your advice. But seriously, if you bowed out and let them know you were uninstalling, I give you credit for that. Though I can't imagine what could have happened to make you feel you were being abused.

People want to run bloom/AA. That and the fact that your older system is 1) not  that bad of a system and 2) OC'd in some aspects. The average user does not OC their equipment. x1300 is not a dx10 card, and the x1300 is a low end card from the x1xx generation (the guy never said anything about dx10 btw)
