Psygnosis is a community of players joined together under one banner so as to heavily improve our position and standings within the game, as well as to improve our enjoyment of WAR and to make some new friends. The guild will participate in PvP, PvE and Crafting (Players producing items to sell to other players, or to keep for themselves). The guild itself fights on the side of Order and is aimed primarily for players who either reside in Australia, New Zealand or are capable of playing at times similar to persons from these countries.

Purpose

Our intention is to create a community where like-minded gamers can socialise with each under a carefully moderated set of rules, guidelines and procedures; whether this be in game, on our forums or voice chat servers. Within Warhammer Online the guild will operate in such a way as to provide an easy means for trading merchandise between members and to establish groups, training, command protocols and guidance for RvR/PvE warfare. Our motivation for this is to build a common bond amongst members and build upon our foundations to find success in all Psygnosis endeavours within Warhammer Online.

Values

We wish to establish an area of equality where even the newest of members will be treated with fairness, honesty and respect. As a community it is important to us that the guild as an entity is respected by members and between members, in essence a mutual partnership between all members whereby the consideration of the many is upheld before the rights of one.
Not only is it important that the inner workings of the guild be harmonious, we also wish for this mutual respect to extend outwards to the wider gaming community. Primarily we wish to establish good friendships with fellow gamers, guilds and fansites in the much larger Warhammer Online community.

Organisation

Our intention has been to create a hierarchy system that was tall enough to offer an incentive for progression within the guild but small enough to prevent internal elitism. The actual structure itself includes 1 trial membership rank, 2 common member ranks, 1 RvR leader rank and 2 officer (1 junior, 1 senior) ranks. We feel its important that interested applicants are brought into the guild in a gradual process, thus offering a trial position enables us to review applicants and measure their progress within the guild as well as assure as ensure that potential enlistees are making the right choice by coming to our particular guild.
Progression within the guild itself comes down to a combination of factors including the members duration within the guild, sociability, volume of events participated in, events created, fairness in trading, prowess in battle and effectiveness in command.

Resonsibilities

The guild is responsible for production, maintenance and moderation of services such as the website, forum and Ventrilo server for active members. The Guildmaster and officers are also tasked with offering their time to listen to issues and suggestions from members as well as run effective training programs, guild events, tournaments and competitions. As ranking administrators of the guild the GM and officers are expected to fairly judge any disputes or problems between members and other parties. Essentially it is the guilds responsibility to ensure a member’s term with the guild is both productive and positive.

Objectives

At this present point the guilds primary objectives are to;

* Mould the guild into an effective force capable of matching teams from other rival guilds in RvR combat
* Initiate a fair trading scheme for members wanting to make, buy and sell crafted items
* Facilitate the means for members to easily find groups for Public Questing, Scenarios and Sieges
* Establish connections with local Order guilds in preparation for creating or joining an Alliance

Today some changes have been made to guild sections within our Website. Most notably to our FAQ, Rules and Heirarchy, but also a number of minor changes have been made to other lesser sections as well. Some of the changes such as those made to our Heirarchy have been made merely to yeild more information on our rankings, while others give more insight into how the guild will operate.

So please by all means, feel free to check out our updated site :)

Huzzah! - Psygnosis is now 1 month old :) We finally have some people interested in being a part of the guild and things are moving forward.. Definatly keen on pulling more people in though, so if think you could be interested in joining a growing order guild then check us out!

Just as a note, well.. clarification really..

Psygnosis (as a guild) was created before the announcement of Oceanic servers. Since this annoucement we have decided to commit ourselves completely to joining one of the Australian, Oceanic servers.

So if you're from Aus or NZ.. Wish to play on an Oceanic server and want to join an Order guild.. Check us out!!

This post gave me a flashback.

If I recall Psygnosis was a games developer back in the Atari ST & Amiga days that made some outstanding games, the only one of which I can remember is Baal(?).

Anyone remember any others by them?

Some rather large changes have been made to the guild, website and Ventrilo server to make life easier for new persons wishing to join the guild to actually get involved with our members, make life easier for guild members to add alternate characters and for officers to keep track on persons keen to group with and join the guild.

Being a small, but very active guild we are very interested not only in recruiting new members but also interacting with other guilds and alliances. These changes have been made to reflect that position and make the guild more accessable to everyone.

* Minimum Rank to join the guild is now 15, instead of 20

* Alternate characters can now be added when Main Characters are 30, instead of 40

* Ventrilo is now Public, instead of Guild-Only

* Prospect rank has now been removed, All prospects are now simply 'Registered Users' on the forum

* Recruitment/Applications board is now visable and usable by Registered Users

* Warhammer Online General board is now accessable by Registered Users, previously guild only

* Persons wishing to join the guild no longer require sponsorship from existing guild members, simply place an application and participate with the guild on vent and in-game
