I'll most likely make a shadow warrior for my first character then, chaos magus for the second.

It looks to me that the side's are going to be slightly better balanced than they are in warcraft.

Poll's like these of course only give a nominal indication of player distribution and may not correlate to the figures at launch.

Well i was hoping to get at least 30 000 vote's by now D=

It would be insain to base the population on 250 votes.

+ all the players will be spreading on diffrent servers.

everyone is gonna start out making "cool charachters" and playing hybrids and other classes that do cool things.

By the time everyone knows the game and it comes time to pvp against others people wil figure out that you can kill MORE people if you  have one small unit working together comprised of Healers that heal, support classes that support and tanks that are sturdy.

Remember daoc? everyone ran around in a zerg... healers speced smite, casters speced for aoe and tanks just ran out and died to arrow fire. Once we all learned the game? Every group was 3 healers who healed and 5 tanks for the most part.

Remember wow? everyone played a rogue or a hunter and all the healers speced shadow. Casters speced for aoe and everyone ran around in a zerg. what happened once 5v5 arena started? 2 warriors, 2 healers that healed (priest and a paladin) became the "go to " mold for a group and casters speced for single target damage and DOT's

So im calling it right now. There are two healers that heal in the game... rune priest and the chaos priest. And there are two heavy tanks.... one in orks and one in Dwarves... and there are also two no frills light tanks.... one in dwarves one in orks. So I think dwarves will be rare in the beginning but everyone will have to reroll to make the best tank and best support class.

I think in the end Rune priest will be the best class in the game. because its support only type. it will be like the midgard healer and the holy paladin.

Good predictions, but I think you left out Warrior-Priest.  The Warrior-Priest strikes me as the "paladin" of WAR, and we all know that Paladins are the best healers.....

Also in PVE the Ironbreaker will probably be the best Order tank, but I'm not sure how useful it will be in PvP.   Warriors with healers worked well in WoW, but those warriors were never Prot.   Trust me I played a prot-tank for years and it was never any good in PvP.  I think the human Knight has more pvp potential, just for the auras and it seems to have some potential with a 2 hander.

I'll probably either play a hammerer or a Witch Hunter.  I'm done with tanking.  There is always a demand for dps.

I'm going to go ahead and make the prediction that realms will actually be about equal as far as Order-Destruction goes, but we will see less Dwarves in general (which is a shame because I can't wait to play my Dwarf). Anyways, here is my reasoning: www.warhammeralliance.com just recently took its first overall class poll. The results showed that Destruction would almost certainly have a higher population than order. However, I'm assuming that the active members on those forums only represent the hardcore players who have been watching WAR for quite some time, and when the game launches we will see a lot of players coming in from games like WoW who will want to continue the tradition of being on the "good" side of the conflict.

I plan on playing a Dwarven Ironbreaker.  I've always liked dwarves, and I've always liked tanking (especially if pvp-implementation of tanking works as planned).  I don't think dwarves will be a minority, but I haven't seen near as much hype about the Ironbreakers.. so there's an added bonus of being a less-popular class.

I haven't seen stats, but from my experience in other MMOs, I'd be willing to bet that the Witch-elf will be among the more popular classes.

Here to end your arguments.

There will be pop caps on Order and Destruction, I dont remember who said it but  It was said in one of the podcasts.

Possibly hinting that Mythic knows Destruction is going to outnumber Order

No such thing as luck, just believing in it is what makes it real to you and really...thats all you need.

Im on nobodies' side but my own.

I am surprised High Elves has so little hits.  I always play HE and I decided to go dwarves this time because I thought HE's would be over used...guess I was wrong.

Horus was weak. Horus was a fool. He had the whole galaxy within his grasp and he let it slip away.

Being a huge HUGE Warhammer fanatic, I have to give every race and class a try. Especially gobbo's!

I myself was gung-ho Chaos until we found out it was Tzeentch (Boo! Blood for the Blood God!) but I'm anxious to see how the Empire Knight of B.Sun plays.

I have a 2500 pt. Dark Elf army, and also very pumped they put Black Guard into the game but discouraged because I also think its going to be one of the most popular.

Out of all the races though, I can tell I'm going to like the Greenskins already!

it is true in MMO's that players that specialize in certain areas do better overall in the PvE aspect of the game. For example, WoW's PvE basically had priests speccing holy (healing) warrior speccing tank, etc.

However, this is not necessarily true for PvP.

I remember in DAOC alot of healers that did specialize smite, but they did fairly well in PvP. PvP is not as black and white as you make it out to be. Zergs did well in DAOC regardless if they all had 3 healers and 5 tanks. Besides having someone to mezz and heal, It all really came down to coordination upon the team's part.

Arguably, hybrids do very well in PvP situations. Priests that specialized in the offensive spec, Shadow, did VERY well in WoW PvP (ask me since I played one). Clerics that specialized in smite actually pwned quite a bit. Thanes, Reavers (my favorite class) Vampiirs and other "hybrids" of DAOC also did well for themselves in PvP and were accepted into PvP groups. By this philosopy, someone would pick wizard over theurgist because wizzy does more damage with their spells, but If anyone played DAOC.... theurgs rocked in PvP.

Overall, it really comes down to player skill and group coordination.

Only the most hardcore guild based gaming requires players to cut down and specialize. Thank God. The game would become VERY boring and not to mention a real slap in the face to developers if the players stopped playing these classes all because they need the "Best" pure tank. Im sure Dark Elf Blackguards, Knights of the Blazing Sun, etc would ALL have abilities that the Ironbreaker would envy, and vice versa.

I own therefore I am.

I'm going with being a Dark Elf Disciple, just because I like the idea of a dual wielding healer.

Did you realy play daoc? your best group in the EU servers was a warrior speced to block and parry, a healer that was speced to.... heal, another 2 healers speced to heal and buff, 3 light tanks speced to hit hard, and a melee hybrid speced to hit hard.  basic classes played basic way work well for pvp. thats why 8 players destroyed zergs.

My wow group was 2 offensive warriors 2 healing priest and a healing paladin.

when we did roaming pvp it was THREE warriors a priest and a druid.

so anyway. Everyone "says" they are going to play chaos, but seriously nobody wants to play a class thats not powerful. chaos melee is not very good and very hard to play....and its offensive caster is nothing to write home about.

best classes?

1) sorc (Calamity)

2) Blackork 2h(brawling)

3)Hammerer 2h

4)Ironbreaker grudge

5) Britemage  incineration

6) Zelot single target

7) Rune priest single target

8)  Sword master 2h Khaine spec with a little hoeth

9) shadow warrior skirmish

10) Warrior Priest 2h wrarth
