Certainty of death. Small chance of success. What are we waiting for?

Hey, this is all wrong...

Female dwarfs obviously exist (otherwise there would no new dwarfs) but according to Tolkein and Pratchett (in my opinion 2 of the greatest exponents of Dwarf lore)...

There is no female style of clothing or female pronoun; there are no female names in dwarfish. Both male dwarfs and female dwarfs naturally have beards and it has never occurred to any dwarf to shave. The gender of a dwarf is only revealed to those concerned, during courtship (gender not being considered important by most dwarfs compared to things such as metallurgy and hydraulics). An interesting implication of this custom is that there is no gender discrimination when a dwarf seeks a job position or tries to make a career or open a business.

Bad Warhammer, obvious female dwarfs? scandalous!!

This isn't Tolkein's universe though.

There is another topic already concerning this, however the case of the idea of Dwarf Females, it's not raping the Warhammer Lore. There are female Dwarf characters on the GW web site such as this for one example. In that link its clear, Dwarf Female = No Beard.

While you are right, this is Warhammer. I mean, if people wanted Tolken Lore, they could go play LoRTO or beg for Diskworld(?) Online. Personaly, one of the things that I think sepperates Warhammer is the addition of sex into the lore. I mean T and P don't have Slaanesh or Witch Elves either

Are you sure this is a good idea? I mean an epic weapon is only epic if you can use it.

There are Dwarven Females are in Warhammer.

Even Female Dwarf Miniatures. Queen Helga was a nice mini.

Two of the greatest exponents of dwarven lore?
From "Prophecy of the Seeress", roughly 800 years old:

"Then the gods set themselves in their high-seats and held counsel. They remembered how the dwarves had quickened in the mould of the earth like maggots in flesh. The dwarves had first been created and had quickened in Ymir’s flesh, and were then maggots; but now, by the decision of the gods, they got the understanding and likeness of men, but still had to dwell in the earth and in rocks. Modsogner was one dwarf and Durin another. So it is said in the Völuspå:

    Þá gengu regin öll
    á rökstóla,
    ginnheilög goð,
    ok um þat gættusk,
    hverr skyldi dverga
    dróttir skepja,
    ór Brimis blóði
    ok ór Bláins leggjum.
    Þar var Mótsognir
    mæztr um orðinn
    dverga allra,
    en Durinn annarr.
    Þeir mannlíkön
    mörg um gørðu,
    dvergar, ór jörðu,
    sem Durinn sagði.

    Then sought the gods
    their assembly-seats,
    The holy ones,
    and council held,
    To find who should raise
    the race of dwarves
    Out of Brimir’s blood
    and the legs of Blain.
    There was Motsognir
    the mightiest made
    Of all the dwarves,
    and Durin next;
    Many a likeness
    of men they made,
    The dwarves in the earth,
    as Durin said.

Dwarfs have made numerous appereances througout time. The ancient egyptians had a dwarf god, ancient jewish scripts tells stories about the tower of tyre, where nurmerous dwarfs lived.
The origin of the "traditional" dwarf, as we know them today, dates back to the bronze age. Southeren Europeans needed tin, and started moving up north. These guys made excelent weapons and armors, far more advanced than the northeren europeans weapons. They was also of short heigth. This gave birth to the idea of the dwarfs today.
So if you really want to get the basics down about dwarfs, it's a better idea to look through the viking mythology.

In Norse Mythology, there was plenty of skilled female fighters. Shieldmaidens, female virgins who had choosed the way of a warrior. A popular one is Brynhilde, who was also a valkyrie. If you ever read Saxo Grammaticus(Legends about danish heroes, kings and gods - Written by saxo in the 11th century. A funny read, which isn't tough to get through at all), you'll read some great stories about shieldmaidens, and there is even a battle where over 300 shieldmaidens participate.
Greek mythology also have female warriors, including Amazons.
As paganistic mythologies are pretty much the base of all fantasy settings, it's a great place to look it up.
If we look at the Warhammer lore, you'll also notice that females does indeed fight. A dwarven female will fight side by side with the dwarven males, yet only a trained eye can spot the difference. The Empire also have a great deal of female fighters, including zealots, wizards, assasins.. Further north, Kislev got some dangerous female spellcasters.

QFT.  If they are less good looking than other races females, no one will play them. WOW proved that.

Female dwarfs have always been a rarity in RPG's, many games have proven that - Including Neverwinter Nights.
But that just makes the female dwarfs more interresting. So why should they not make female dwarfs?

because according to the lore you shouldn't be able to see the differents between a male and a female. So you shouldn't call a Dwarf a male or female, you should just call it a dwarf!

Actually... that was a rather disturbing thought. Now I'm male, now I'm not!

I take it you've never heard of Joan of Ark? And there have been many more instances thru the ages "in real life" where women have fought on their own and side-by-side with men.::::20::

Uh, according to what lore? Are you talking about Tolkien or what? Becasue there certainly is a difference between Warhammer male and female dwarfs.
