I cannot believe the token efforts that the games developers and producer try to "pass off" as events and updates to keep the game interesting and fun...

Makes me want to scream that every Warhammer/Warhammer 40K game is made by companys that dont know what the heck they are doing (Mythic), abandons the game (Bioware) and (THQ  Space Marine), or cannot manage money (THQ) Dawn of War and Space Marine, or announces big WH40K MMO then turns it into a single player game (THQ).

If only Blizzard had bought the IP for Warhammer like they intended to......many years ago.

Blizzard wanted to makes games for Games Workshop, not buy the IP. Not to mention all that is going on with Warhammer and W40k IP is coming straight from GW themselves. Warhammer is the way it is because of GW decisions forcing the developer's hand.

Yes, definitely Relic don't know what they are doing. I mean other than the fact that they have produced arguably the best RTS franchise. Also, Space Marine (other than the fact that it's not bad) was never meant to be an MMO and was an entirely different project from the 40K MMO. As for the Mythic MMO there seem to be people that still enjoy it.

We would never had Dawn of War (Relic/THQ), which is imho the best rts game.. tactical and from multiplayer point of view.

No, thanks. But i agree, the Warhammer IP would be so perfect for a multi faction pvp mmo. And what did we got? The Mythic WAR and a canned THQ WAR40k, both even from the design table not worth to mention.

And yes.. Space Marine isnt good either... and i dont like DoW2 not nearly as much as DoW1.

Why do people think of Warhammer as PvP brand? It is more suited to TES-Like systems(imo of course)...

On topic: I know how you feel(even more so). It is Catch 22 really-either you are paying incompetent devs to further ruin your IP or you deny yourself a pleasure. Even more so for me, seeing how I Like a)Asur(High Elves) b)Eldar and c)Tau. It is easy for you Empire/Imperium and Chaos players for you will get your game(eventually). But us(Asur/Eldar/Tau fans)? No way pedro(?)! Sometimes I truly feel Like Eldar(waiting for Godot if you catch me meaning)...

Also, it is not THQ's fault that World is in recession(if it is anyone fault it is yank fault). They produced an outstanding Epic 40k game(DoW 1) and pretty good 40k game(DoW 2) and pretty fun UT-in-40 k game(SM). They all have good sides(even SM).

Concerning EA Bioware Mythic(what a studio name!)-I will not defend them. RvR was awesome, PvE was good(even although tis buggy and they missed numbers{kill 150 sth in PQs-really?}) and PvP was quite forgettable(PvP are Scenarios-they are quite forgettable). They only needed to realise that RvR CAN'T be BALANCED and they only needed to FIX PvE and they would have rad game on their hands(so would I, errr, we I meant). And WoH-I will just pretend that it DOES NOT EXIST!

You forgot one more IP holder though. Namco Bandai-the holders of RTS Warhammer Fantasy IP(Mark of Chaos anyone? ;))! Now they are some major slackers(EABM{lol!} is actually doing something!)! They have done NOTHING in past THREE YEARS! Yes, you read that right! Three bloody years! If someone Deserves to pass his IP to someone else-it is Namco! What is an Asian publisher/developer doing with Warhammer Fantasy IP anyhow? It is less than a speck in their market(Warhammer, not Namco obviously!)...

In short-there are too many slackers who have done nothing to deserve the honour of being Warhammer(be it Fantasy or 40k) IP Bearers. EABM and Namco would go here. If only Mythic passes MMO IP to someone else who actually wants to do something with it(won't happen-EA does not want another Warhammer->Warcraft scenario happening again) and if Namco passes RTS IP to Relic->me Happy(:))!

If wishes were horses...

Well...

Us Tau/Eldar/High Elf players have got to wait at least half a decade to get into the 1-2year Spotlight only to fade for the next 5-6 years and so forth and so forth...

In short: You sure do develop one strong patience when you love Elven things(now if I only was so long lived it would not matter, but...)...
