Free trial sounds great and all but the announcement also said there was going to be a streaming client with only a 1gb install. the only downloader available wants 12gb of free space.. that doesn't sound like it's streaming. Anyone happen to know anything about this? |

Yea, I'm getting the same. At 2% now, looks like this is gonna take a few hours. |

Sadly i don't have near 12gb free space (only 4) on my laptop, 1gb would have been fine since i know this laptop can run WAR, but... if it's 12gb, not a chance. |

It downloads more than 6gb of files and wants 12gb empty space to install. After that, it runs the patcher to download 240mb of patches, and there is a option to turn streaming on or off. If you turn the streaming off, it will download the rest of the game (4.3gb) and then you can play normally. If you want to play the streaming version, then the game will download data as you play. |

A streaming client just means it'll let you play the basics while it downloads the rest as you play. It still needs the space for a full install because that's what it's streaming for and by the time it's done streaming it'll need all that space.
It's not meant to be a mini version of the game. |
