Of course, what we downloaded could have all we need, and that would be a pleasant change, but if not has anyone heard if they will be opening the patch servers early?

The patches was for the Weekend Preview, open beta more or likely will start around 8-9am est on Sunday morning.  Of course it could be after 12am tonight or later tomorrow, have to wait and see.

This will probably infuriate most of you, but I think its a problem with the new set of keys they added in.

I have a key from a preorder and I'm in patching just fine. Harrass EA about it.

Actually I WAS in the preview weekend, and I played all the way through. So, this patch isn't something left over. Plus, I gave my account to a friend, and they are able to patch just fine.

Again, the purpose of my first and second post is to provide info to the general public about why they might be having a problem, in hopes of allowing them to direct their questions to get it fixed.

Well, if you didn't see it...they let all of the preview weekend people play again from yesterday through today.  That is why you are able to patch.  The open beta people have not been allowed in yet.  These include pre-orders that did not receive the preview weekend access. 

I highly doubt he is patching. People who who were invited to the previous PW got in on the 5th for PW+. For the rest of us we get access tomorrow. Is there a slight chance we could patch today and gain access today ? Maybe but until Mythic says so then expect everything tomorrow.

I did give two solutions and one of them looks to be correct.  It seems that he just didn't know about pw+, and that is why he is patching successfully.

On a non-related topic...is there a way to delete your posts?  I hate having so many in a thread.

ya i just keep getting authentication failed as well, and i know the password is correct.

so, just to confirm, its not a problem with me, it is the SYSTEM!, and were just too early...yes/no?

yes. we are just early. Don't expect to be able to patch for another 9 hours at least. If it does happen before then or even a few hours after i don't mind. As long as i get to play damnit. lol
