I heard 2 different dates and I need clarification.........the first date is july 31st......and the other is october 7th

the official release 'time' or atleast estimated is fall there is no release date and never has been.   July's not in fall so...you figure it out.

If any inf about the release date is going to leek, be sure to see lots of posts on this forum :) creater a post and asking about if anyone knws anything is pointless :P

They probably planned to released it during Q4 of 2008, but since AOC seems to be a huge success im pretty sure they are planning to polish the game ever more. But you never know. EA are the owners of Mythic (developers of WAR), and they are known to be greedy. They might push it for release to early :( .. i hope not.

No hurting here, just wait 3-4 months to see how much a success it is. Hell POTBS had huge betanumbers and pre orders look at it now.

Well it is... 1 million beta testers says everything. If it can hold their players is a different story but Im also looking forward to WAR (as an old daoc fan). Till then I will play AoC.

Do you have to pre-order to be in the beta?  I had the impression you could play for free (or very little money) with a FilePlanet account.  I'm curious what the actual number of preorders is and if it's going up or down since open beta.

Can't claim huge success till the 90 day post launch.  THEN you can make claims. 

 

I'll wager WAR and AoC will do well, and neither has to worry much about the other.

according to play.com and coolshop and various CE retailers, they will be sending the CE version out 26 of september
