New server is where its at.... The game is fun once you get past the few flaws it has. Item finding and upgradign is cool. Theres an AUCTION HOUSE.... I HATE free MMO's with player shops... This game has the AH which is awesoem. You can sell items from anywhere BUT need to be at the AH to buy them. Which is another aid. Check it out!

Yea game is really good but it kept freezing and exiting to windows so many times that i couldn't stand it... Anyway it's price should make it up for...

There is an issue where the game freezes and boots you when you have the FX sound oun in towns and click on a NPC. I am sure it will get resolved. I just turn off sound in towns for now, stopped all the crashes for me.

Really? So when I have sound on and click on say the merchant or item trader in a town and the sound effect starts playing over and over and the client crashes, like yesterday when I forgot to turn off the sound, that's fixed? I know it's just my machine and drivers. No, it was fixed by all accounts from the forums and it raised it's ugly head two or three updates ago from what I have been able to gather. But I'll open a case with support.

Yeah it's my favorite free mmorpg by far. But for pay to play i think EQ1 is the greatest. Much better than wow in my opinion.

I'm new to AL, but so far, I'd say that this game is one of the best F2P MMO's I've tried out. The EXP, gold getting, and market on items seems relatively balanced compared to some other Micro Transaction model games (like Flyff, where prices for decent equipment can be downright absurd).  I really like being able to AoE at lvl 10 (Orc Berserker).  The auction house is a MAJOR bonus compared to games with "Player Shops", mainly because of decreased rendering efforts on my poor old computer thing.

    The only major downer for me is the incredible lag at times, and this is on the new server.  Even during the good latency times, I still have problems with that, on my DSL connection that is.

yeah.. the game really has some good stuff in it... but then again... also some pretty bad stuff.. for an example.. its an uber grind feast... and yet... u have pvp.. so for me the grind feast isnt really a problem aslong as u always have the chance 2 go out and kill some rouges or pvp with ur friends...

I agree with everything you said, except that the new server is where its at. I'm on the original Brumhart server and it is thriving.

i hate player shops too, they seriously cause so much clutter :S

Nope. Guild Wars is the best free MMORPG. Unless you're talking about completely free. GW has a retail price.

Yeah apart from the retail part, GW is awesome and Unique, but still archlord is far from being the best f2p, i tried it and i found it to be quite boring and not creative at all. I think Silkroad is the Top game on the completely free games out there

Yeah, right, lol! That "game" is a complete waste of time! But I have to admit, it'f fun to wait 2 hours just to create a toon that looks like a crazy rooster running around with a nasty habit of getting stuck in the first wall or rock, lol! Comparing that to Archlord is an insult, really!

I have played the game for 1 year. Before episode 2 i can say that i pretty much liked the game. It was fun had nice community and was ALMOST free.

After episode 2 the game is by far the most expensive game, and by far the game with the less support!! You need to buy chantra (something like codemasters money) via credit cards all the time. The game costs like 50Euros per month for an active player.The only thing that codemasters added in episode 2 was items that you had to pay big ammounts in real money to get!!!! As for the support? So many bags, and soooo much lag.

The game is full of bags and GM's reply on this is always ''we are working on it'' and 1 month after the only thing they work out is create more buggs!!!

During sieges you can not move most of the times because of the lag. The past months the players inside the game used to call it Laglord!!!

Stopped this game and i am never going to play a codemasters game EVER again.

The concept of becoming the "Archlord" is what brings alot of people to this game.

Unless you want to pay lots of real money, its not going to happen.

Even if you pay lots of money, its still not going to happen.

Events/competitions are a joke, lots of people do not get the prizes or rewards they've earned.

Codemasters doesn't care, might as well get used to that if you decide to play this game.

Castle sieges are a joke.  Whoever has the best hacking/exploit programs wins.

I spent a month playing this game hardcore, easily addicting, highly frustrating and boring at later levels, due to the inability to craft your own gear. Gear which you'll need just to grind for days upon days without dying and losing experience constantly.  You'll also need this gear (that you can't afford) to horde off the waves of PKers who are 10 levels lower than you and kill you in one shot, even though you seemingly can't touch them, despite your awesome character build.

Well, that being said, Have fun playing this sad excuse for a balanced/fair game.

I don't even know why people consider Guild Wars an MMORPG tbh.

There are truely allot of True Free MMORPG's out there you just halfta look around, i stumbled upon Shaiya which is a great Free MMORPG and i don't consider Guild Wars an MMORPG it might be , but not to me, but all in all Archlord is on my top 5 list of favorite free mmo's

  I`m actually surprised by Shaiya , its got some pretty hard core pvp , exp and item loss with perma death if you dont revive within 3 minutes. Very nice graphics and class selection also , why havent we heard more about this game from Aeria ?
