    • I played EvE for 2 years, SWG until the NGE, DaoC, WoW, and City of Heros. StarQuest is nice because it blends space travel, Planetary action, PVP, and crafting to make a complete game experience. I've been playing StarQuest Online for about a month now, and it really becomes addicting and very immersive, once you get past the relatively steep learning curve. The Graphics are old school and kind of klunky. The sound track has 2 tracks the recycle, but aside from that, the game has impressive depth and is very RP oriented. SQO is primarily an open ended "Open competitive environment", with limited access to scripted missions, allowing the players to pretty much do whatever they want. There is open PVP, except in starter zones. Most of the Game content needs to be experienced from space, and you need a ship to get there. Making enough money to buy a starter ship is relatively easy, with a little guidance. The player community is very mature for the most part, and answers questions posted in the forums rapidly. Customer service is great, and the developers respond to the desires of the community. They have an ongoing suggestion forum to suggest game content, and the recent ship combat upgrade was the result of player suggestions and forum polls to determine what the players were looking for in the combat system. All of those people that were waiting for StarTrek Online should give this game a try, and roll Fleet characters. If you were into PnP Traveller, there are also a lot of similarities to the civilian characters. 2 suggestions, If you Play StarQuest, read the game forums for hints, and get a gtalk account.

    • Really awsome game. If your not worried about eye candy, but are look for a game with alot of depth. Instead of the mmorpg norm of kill repeat kill. This may be game for you. You can own a ship, a clony mine, you name it board and take over a ship. be part of a military. Its great think it uses the old engine UO used. The GUI and Docs are a pain at first but many helpfull people online.

    • I just couldn't get into this game. After reading all of the reviews about bad graphics but outstanding depth and RP, I figured I'd give it a shot. I can handle dated graphics as long as the game is fun to play and highly immersive. In fairness to the game, I only played it a few days, so I undoubtedly never got to the really cool parts, but I just couldn't see myself paying 10 bucks a month for this game - graphics aside. To say the game has a steep learning curve is an understatement. I've played a ton of MMOs so I'm not afraid to invest time learning a complex game, but with this game I just felt like there wasn't enough guidance to reasonably get over the curve, and I don't want to spend months trying to figure it out alone (or have to enlist the help of other players to learn the game mechanics). Additionally, I found the UI to be very kludgy - playing the game started to feel like a chore pretty quickly and for me it would get in the way of any RP experience I would be trying to create. They need to seriously consider a graphics update, but more importantly, they need to look closely at UX and make some drastic improvements there. I have no doubt that the possibilities within the game are endless, as even a new player can catch a glimpse of how flexible it is. But unless you have a really high tolerance for dated graphics, kludgy interaction, and a serious learning curve, I'd look elsewhere.

    • RP super...Character individuality..real good...Comunity as maturity goes well above average(thos they are not so many...118 members on the forums only...yeah i know most of the player dont register on forums..but still)...fun pretty good...Graphics are outdated even for 7 years ago..i maen im not after eye candy games..my favorite one is anarchy online..for its content and comunity..but stil wth is this.UI....reminds me of the windows 95 games lol..has even worst functions then the games made by NCSoft...and the sound well better turn it of from the begining. I get that its a small company that makes the game but their website...gtfo...As a concept this game is amazing they should have looked for investitors for a better graphic engine tho...And in the end to be honest id rather do something else with those 10 bucks then to keep paying for this game...and i think im among the last supporters of the p2p games because the quality of the support is at a completly different level then on the f2p ones..and because it limits in many way the gap taht could be created buy guys that have a ton of cash to throw on a game and the others that dont or wont....Dont blame that i have even tried the game coz i played 7 day trial and payed for a month..i truely love the concept but there are way too many small things that really annoy me..except the ridicoulos graphic :) P.S.:Don't blame the guys that review the game only based on screenshots sins most of the fans of this game rae it with 10 even on graphic and sound...or else tell me how the freakin hell this game has 6+ on graphics and 7+ on sound?
