dsfeagle writes: absolutely a great game in my personal opinion. The graphics aren't state of the art, but thats something neglect-able when you take a look at the awesome PvP system, i've played many mmo's and haven't seen a game that comes close to what turfbattles has to offer PvP and PvE are connected with each other, it's hard to do one without the other. You have to PvE to get your gear/levels and you have to PvP to upgrade your gear (dus getting better at PvE) so your able to level faster/get better gear or get gear easyer to feed your needs while upgrading your gear Tue Dec 01 2009 3:41AM
jeirhart writes: Graphics: Its true the graphics are dated, yet its more like playing your old favorite N64 game again. Returning to Mario64 or GoldenEye007 and enjoying simple but good looking graphics that they employed. Even with the dated graphics, you will find yourself in awe at the scenic landscapes, and dark dismal dungeons. Newer content and the higher level armors look great and as updates delievered, players can expect even better graphics and improved environments. Controls: Easy, intuitive controls. WASD movement with point and click attacks. You can also use point and click movement. If you've ever played a PC game before, you know how to control and use your character. Sound: On the other hand, the sound in the game is actually quite impressive. The musical score in the background does bring a new sort of enjoyment in an industry of games filled with the generic poorly produced music that you see. The sound effects are pretty well-done too. Arrow shots let off the realistic "PLINK!" when shot. You can hear mom's home baked cooking when conjuring up a nice fire bolt and heals let off the melancholy sound when casted. It's put together realy well. Dungeon soundtracks are eerie and will wish you left the lights on while turf combat is greatly improved by the dramatic music in the background. Quests/PvE: There is a great variety of quests in the game, from the simple fetch quests to epic quests to gain new, powerful abilities and skills. While it may be hard at first to locate theses quests, not only are they all listed on the game's wiki on Aeria Games and new updates are expected to help players discover new quests. Plus new players are given a newbie quests to introduce players to the game. These NPCs will help guide people new to the game and get them a few starter levels as well as some equipment. Monsters are varied and you can expect to fight new ones every couple of levels. They are also have colored names to help players decide what monsters are good for their level. Crafting: Just about every monster and creature will drop certain amounts of materials and supplies used for crafting. From these materials, players can create a whole host of equipment, as well as various accessories, gems and potions. The special level 12 gear can only be gained by crafting them from special materials gained from higher level monsters. Player v Player: Turf Battles is very much a varied game and while players who enjoy PvE will find a great amount of enjoyment in the field and collect various materials and gems, the real enjoyment will come from the Turfs and the Tournaments that are a major component of what players found so entralling from the previous publisher's version. PvP action is fast and intense. While you can make a name for yourself playing alone, you will have to join a tribe to achieve true greatness. Additionally, each class has its own unique abilities and strengths. Conclusion: Turf Battles brings an awesome experience in terms of PvP. If you don't mind heavy emphasis on Player vs. Player, slightly more so than PvE, or dated graphics, Turf Battles is a great game for you! Wed Nov 25 2009 1:23PM
squigoth writes: Really good for a free aeriagames game. the pvp is good and I played it a lot in beta. I might check it out again at release. Wed Sep 16 2009 4:21PM
Worf writes: It is a DECENT game but being FORCED into Player Versus Player to get gems to upgrade skills ruined the game for this NON-PVP griever player. Oh you can level EXTREMELY fast if someone will party you and take you to a higher level area. You don't have to fight per se to get to level 100+ very fast that way. Great idea... Bad implementation! Mon Aug 10 2009 11:51PM
ninjaBeaver writes: Why would they release this when it is heavily outdated and the competition of other korean grinders are large when they look better and play better.. =_= Mon Apr 03 2006 3:35AM
gitawego writes: a very old korean type mmorpg, free in korea, china, taiwan. bad graphic, but the craft system is increadible! and the PVP is good Sun Apr 02 2006 3:49PM
randym4a1 writes: Here About Turb Battle. Graphic = blur your eyes Char = very noob for char modeling (myself, i can model better than this game, WC3 for example with) (GMAX) Skill = Ah man! stupid skills designated, its like nothing, likes normal attack and they called it special skills ? Quest = Complicated Game plays/Battle system/Game Balance = well game play is kinda fun with XP, peoples like this game cause they had great xp gain and lvl gain kinda fast and fun, so if you dont like xp grind then you should try this one. Battle system kinda easy for those are 1st time on MMORPG or lazy with using keys or mouse, hmm i would say NOOB battle system lol, click and hold to attack skills are linked with normal attack, even though you've learned skill or attackin with skill but you will not know because skills in this game suck bad. And this game is kinda not balanced ranged class like archers are so strong, its rigged PK/PVP are not fun at all, archer or wizard do one hit kill, melee class = very weak, plus ARcher and Wizard HITS AND RUNS, so mostly of pro in this game is Archer or Wizard class. And guess what ? if you got PKed by someone you will lose all money ! Comunity = helpless, nobody wannna help newbie and everyone keep on asking like crazy, also those fuker archer and wizard go around PKin newbie for gold/money, except GMs are online almost 24/7 hostin Event Battle for tribes, they also answer your questions most of the times, so i would say GMs in this game are nice and good. Speed/Connection-server = Too bad this game lag bad for me and most of USA players, peoples complaint about laggin and disconnectin all the times, server is poor very lag its disc. me every 10-15 minutes not just only me but some others USA players too, they should fix and double check their server ping/status, the ping is too low sometimes the game crashed most of time server disc. (hey i got strong PC) I gave this game a 4/ worth to try, its not worth to play for life, try it out guys maybe you guys like it or server doesnt disc. you ! Wed Feb 22 2006 4:08PM
Jackcolt writes: Pretty bad. Bad Classes, bad customization, bad UI and bad controls. When will people learn to primarily use WSAD? Fri Feb 17 2006 5:24AM
nandasithu writes: Graphic is so BAD that your eye will bleed. The people who said nice graphic for this game are perhaps the people who never play a decent game or who is color blinded. ^_^ Thu Feb 16 2006 6:14AM
Ribike writes: I didn't try this game becouse of the reports. Reports was taken by ppl who have NEVER tryed this game. And i'm realy angry at tham, cos this game is good. And all who didn't try and say booo look at the graphics, and what a stupid name should realy shut up!! Try it than write a hype and give points. I like this game lot better than D&D or lot of mmorpg with better looking. Of corse this is still about to upgrade , some quests can't be done, but i like it. Comunity is good, everyone is talking, sell n buy, want party (at least here it makes sens to make a party, not just solo all the time). So take time and try it before giving 1 to this game, than u'll add 9 or 10. Wed Feb 15 2006 2:28AM
